Should I let Wolfgang go?

I've had him for a really long time. He's cool and I dig his design, but it's been sooo long and I think I lost the attachment to him. Fang used to live in my town and they used to chill a lot, which I thought was cool, but now he's gone. So it seems like they're kind of a package deal and I didn't even realize until now?

But I'm concerned that I'll regret letting him leave and start missing the little *******. And if I do, it'd be a really long time 'til I'm able to get him back thanks to the 16 villager cycle. I'm pretty torn. 'Cause I need to cycle villagers out to get Fang back, + It'd be nice to have a new cranky in my town. I love basically all of them but never have space for 'em. And I've had Wolfgang before in multiple games, so maybe it's time for someone new anyway?

But he's mah boy. I got really used to his presence in the town. He lives right next to my mayor's house so it's like every morning I walk outside and think "Ayy, gonna see Wolfgang out here, turd's gonna try to sell me a peach for 2,000 bells. That scrub. Better go say hi." Idk. Hoping opinions from the community will help push me to one side. If not I'll probably just roll some dice or something lol

Don't! Fang or no Fang, you still like Wolfgang, right? You've probably grown close to him too. ^_^

I'd keep him! I feel it's something you might regret if you let him go, I know I'd feel sad not seeing his house next to mine if it were me. Unless you're interested in getting his card, I'd say just keep him. I get way too attached to old villagers but it seems like you have a real history with Wolfgang that spans multiple games. He's your babby!

Oh god rip forums

Oh so it's not my WiFi? The sites super slow for everyone, right?

Yikes, the forums were really sluggin' there lol. Thanks for the opinions so far, guys~ Yeah Wolfgang's one of my favorite wolves and has been for a while, so I miiiight end up keeping him.

If you like him, keep him! As you seem attached to him, then you might regret letting him go. By then it would take a long time for you to get him back.

I say keep him! But Wolfy is my number one favorite villager of all time. I've had him in every game, and I could never let him go.

Wolfgang is a precious bb, I wouldn't let him go if you're attached to him. The 16 villager cycle is a monstrous pain. Unless you have his amiibo card so you can just move him in if you miss him.

Well, I think that since you're concerned about coming to regret letting go of him, the most sensible option is to wait it out. Keep him for now and see how you feel about this after a while. Deciding to part with a villager you've had for long might be difficult but if you still question your attachment to him after a while, it might be a good time for a little change.

I think it's better for you to play it safe, but if it was me in that situation, I can say I'd most likely let him go. No matter how much you've liked a villager in the past, if you've lost part of your attachment to them, I don't see a reason for you to keep them. I think the mere fact that you're debating whether to keep him or not tells something. I've learned that whenever I'm in that situation, it's better to just have that change. I know I won't end up regretting it too much even though I might be concerned about that at first.

I have Wolfgang in my New Leaf town. He's really cool. I'm not so sure if I should move him out since he's one of my favourite cranky villagers and I've had him since the start of my New Leaf town. Besides Tom, Static and Wolfgang, there really aren't that many cranky villagers that I care about.

I would say let him go, because you're trying to Fang back (another cranky wolf) and in the meantime you can experience different crankies and might find someone you like even more!

Serves me right for associating with you. Wolfgang pinged me to leave a few minutes ago in town #4. Of course I said NO! Good thing I checked.

Welp, I decided to keep him if he did something to really impress me or rekindle my attraction to him.
And he did. He's the only one that's good at hide & seek in my damn town. Hid behind some cedar tree in the very top of my town behind Retail, a place I never check lmao. Legendary. So I guess he stays, at least for the time being. Maybe his time will come at some later point. Anyway thanks to everyone who gave their opinions, they all helped me a lot. Gonna just close the thread now I guess haha

EDIT: ****, I forgot how to close a thread.
