Should I give a *heck* about my Rating if the problem is a so-called 'Traffic Hazard'?

Honestly, I don't have issues with Isabelle when it comes to rating. Then again, my island is very simple. I don't have these "traffic hazard" routes that you showed.

If you don't need the jacobs ladders then I'd say go for it! I talked to Isabelle for the first time in months recently because I was trying to get my Island back to 5 stars to start spawning some of those flowers. But until then having a 4 star island because of a bunch of DIYs lying around didn't bother me at all =)

Eh, yeah I guess. I got a bunch of those flower already. It just annoys me that making something look even better earns you a worse score.

Ya know what. Yeah. Up until now I've been content to try to keep my island at 5 stars, but now? I'll do what I like. I'm not even gonna talk to her.

that looks incredible!! i think everyone has already mentioned everything that the island rating affects (jacob’s ladders, mushrooms & the golden watering can diy at the beginning). assuming you already have the can diy, unless you care about the mushrooms or the jacob’s ladders, i wouldn’t worry too much about the rating. it can be finicky but if you’re happy with the area, who cares about ratings? it’s your game and your island, decorate however you want

Does anyone know how many items Isabelle wants? She won't stop telling me I need more and I've been building up as much as possible while still trying to have my island look natural and tidy. I just finished putting out a bunch of Halloween decorations and she's STILL telling me that.

It's been said a bunch but I agree with all the others. I'm working towards 5 star to get the rewards and some of the jacobs ladders, but once I get what I want, if my island needs fine tuning, you can bet I'm gonna fine tune it and not care what my rating is. XD What's the point of giving us freedom to decorate how we want if we don't decorate how we want?

I didn't know she could say that, she got a taste of power in nl and now she is on a power trip. Anyways, like others said, if you dont care for the golden watering can then the rating does nothing so dont you worry.

I guess I have a reverse question regarding the topic.

My understanding is that you get the Jacob’s Ladder after achieving a 5 star rating.

I recently received the flower, but I still have a 4 star rating.

I’ve gone to Isabelle a number of times, but No change.

I‘m totally confused!
