Should I get Ankha or Raymond?

While I love Raymond I vote for Ankha since she fits your island theme better. I once had three smugs and really quickly realized I hated it. If you only want Raymond because he is popular I feel he could grow boring real quick.

It's up to you on how you want your island to go. Your "Theme". I say forget the theme and go with who you really want. Forget what others tell you is the best or why you should not go with so-an-so. I mean look at my current list of villagers (in my sig). I really don't care if I have several of one species or personality. I go for who I like.

With that said. Pick Ankha! ;P

She is my favorite and I support Ankha for every island. Number 1 Villagers!

Personally I had Raymond and he grew on me, but he isn’t a favorite.
The only time I’ve scanned Ankha’s amiibo card was to push someone else out and then sell her. She won’t ever be living on my island lol.

Get Ankha. She goes with your theme. While I like Raymond more I think you don't need 3 smugs on ur island and should get villagers you actually like instead of because they're popular.

Sometimes the hype around certain villagers can make us really want to now what it’s all about though so I do totally understand why Raymond would be on your radar at this point! :3

There's a "meet and greet villagers" thread, you can always go there to visit islands and chat with the both of them before making a choice?
Or after, to still get a chance to meet the one you didn't go with!

I would go with ankha if she fits your theme well! Personally not a fan of Raymond, just because they cost a lot shouldn't mean you should be forced to like them! there are so many villagers, you shouldn't force yourself to like one because its very sought after, go with ones who you like and might fit well on your island. Ankha has a cooler design then Raymond to me ;p

I'd say go with Ankha, because it seems that she steals your heart instead of Raymond. I've also noticed that Ankha isn't in that many towns, maybe she lost a bit of popularity from NL?
Everybody has Raymond in their towns, and let's be honest, Marshal is the better smug out of all of them.

One thing I do consider are personalities. I wouldn't like the thought of having 3 smug villagers. That's just my preference. Two, I could work with. But it's your choice, of course. I'd still say go with Ankha, because her design is far more appealing in my opinion.

I would go with Ankha. I have her on my island and I love her. While Raymond is kind of cool, I prefer Ankha as she is a really unique and different villager.

Ankha is easier to obtain. I'd pick based on personality, unless you already have a smug and snooty. since you already have a couple smugs, maybe go with Ankha.

So, I’ve been feeling a bit conflicted on my final villager so far. I really like both Ankha and Raymond’s designs, but I can’t decide between the two.
Ankha would complete my theme where I have two each of five different personality types, but I’m very drawn to Raymond probably because of how sought after he is.
Otherwise, I do adore Raymond’s design; but I’m not sure if I want 3 smug villagers at once on my island.

I got Ankha just last week and I'm loving her. Plus, if you really like her, I would go with her instead. Don't pick a villager just because they're popular; you won't enjoy them in the long run.
