Should i Buy Another Copy?? Help

I need some advice, so i really want a new town i don't like where i've placed some of the PWP in my current town, and i also don't like how i haven't stuck to what i did in Wild World (which was, that everytime a person lived in my town, i would get their picture, and not let them leave until they gave me their picture) so that's really bugging me!


In a new town, i could stop anyone from leaving, until i got their picture and keep that process going
Then one part of me says just restart your town, and don't buy another copy.. I know deep down theres no way i could balance two towns at once, i tried before, and failed, but then all my precious items (which i could give someone to keep i know) and all the shop upgrades (i will never TT) and the museum and all the badges which i have (alot) its much more difficult to contemplate resetting in this one

Another problem is, as much as i love my villagers, it doesn't really right without Vesta :s i know i have Timbra and shes great and i lovee her, but Vesta was a starter in my GC and WW, yes i could wait for her to move in, but it wont feel right if she hasnt been a starter villager, that may sound petty

Such a difficult decision! i dont want to get caught in the rut of resetting and resetting like i did in previous AC (well except GC i always kept that town) so what do i do, plus its scary giving my items to everyone :L)

So do i just but another copy, and risk neglecting the other, or start again, also if i got a new copy i could theoretically reset for villagers that were in my previous town, and get their pictures on April fools, then delete the town

If you really want a new copy, I'd say go for it if you have sufficent funds and stuff.

And if Vesta in my town is moving, I may inform you as I don't have much of a bond in comparison to you. But my WiFi connection is bad, so I wouldn't recommend you to check on me all the time, haha.

If it's really bothering you and you don't mind spending money on another copy, why not do it? If you think balancing two towns might be a bit much, remember that you can always set the town ordinance to beautiful on one or both games.

I would almost be tempted to buy another copy myself, but I'm happy with the town I have. Well, not the dying grass... but whatever.

If you need someone to hold your items while you get things ready, I would be happy to help. I have a huge treeless area where I plan on putting a park eventually. Of course my animals only suggest street signs and other useless projects. xD

If i did restart it would only take a few weeks to get back to where i was right? :s probably even shorter since i have all my bells and items already if i give them to someone hm

Hmm, that's a tough decision. If you don't mind spending more money I would get a second copy, because the feeling of regret you get when you restart a town you've had for a long time is horrible. Believe me, I've felt it...
So why not get a second copy? If it's too much you can always just keep the one you have and the second copy as an extra or, if you don't mind, restart your old one. Or, like you mentioned, move your villagers onto your second Animal Crossing game.

I completely understand where you're coming from!

I've also been considering buying a second copy, even though I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with two towns. ^^; I adore what I have already but in the back of my mind I keep thinking I would love to start over and create a different sort of town.

Plus i'd rather do it now, than months and months down the line, plus its only mid July, so plenty of summer left hmm

Owning a 2nd copy will:

1. Greatly increase the odds in finding the villager you want.
2. Double the profits in the Stalk Market.
3. Complete your catalogue quicker.
4. Allow you to safely TT & test exploits.

The downside is that you're effectively Mayor of 2 towns which is already time consuming; now add in the collaboration between these 2 towns & your time commitment exponentially increases.
