Should I arange my flowers differently for hybirds

I just want to know, I need a ton of hybirds, is there any quicker way to get them?

I do a criss cross pattern and get new hybrids every day from it. Not sure if that's the same as diagonal though.

diagonally really is best. been doing it for years in acnl and you get hybrids every day or every other day usually

Ok guys thanks, I read something somewhere that it doesn't matter about them being diagonal in this game >.> I'll definitely rearrange them later

It's simply because there are more open spaces around the flowers when you place them diagonally, so there is more space for hybrids to spawn. Don't forget to water them, and if it's available to you, you could use fertiliser (bury it so it touches both flowers) since this makes the chances of new flowers spawning higher.

I don't use the diagonal arrange and they hybrid just fine. Just let space between every two flowers you want to breed.
