It's something I've thought about lately...would GB and GBC games fit into the Virtual Console library? To me, I don't see why not. They are definitely not being made, anymore, and there is no way to play them on any current day systems. I'm not sure if the GBA SP is still being sold, though..

As for GBA games, I still don't think they should be on the VC, yet. Seeing as the DS Lite is still around, that means that GBA cartridges are still acknowledged, even if they are not being distributed, anymore.

What do you guys think?

I think Game Boy and Game Boy Color games should be downloadable on a Virtual Console for DSi. Not Game Boy Advance games, though. There's the DS Lite for those.

Problem is, there was a reason they had their own cartridges. They files were very big back then like the N64 games, and it takes a while for them to reformat the games. And on a system like the DSi, that would be difficult to do. They'd be better off doing it for the VC on the Wii.

I actually want this to happen. There were plenty of GBC and GBA games that I missed out on and that I cannot find anymore.

If they can do it on Wii, they can do it on DSi. They just need to make an update that let's you have a SD Card Menu or something like they did with Wii.

I like it.
I had the gameboy player for the Gamecube and loved it, there was so much more satisfaction playing them on the television. So yes, I do think they should be in the VC library.

I think that it would be a splendid idea, but I'm not 100% sure how effecaious the exploit would be. It's very easy to find emulators for that kind of thing but... that is off topic.

To answer your question. Yes, as long as they were really cheap (250 wii points)

i honestly wouldn't like it,i thing handheld games should be played on a handheld,it feels more comftrable (i dont kno how to spell it -_-)

It is a little weird playing handheld games on a television set...but it's something you can get used to. It's just a different experience when it's not in your hands.

I think that downloadable GB and GBC games on the DSi would be great. Probably more fitting than them being downloadable on the Wii's Virtual Console.

Pokemon Red-Crystal. Make it happen, and I'll love Ninty forever.
^^^

If they were going to do that they would only do it for the DSi though, and I only have a DS Lite....

I played gold the other day, oh how it brought back memories :')

mario tennis for the GBC was also awesome.

How about you make them to where you can play them on DSi and Wii through SD card use?
DSi, yes. Wii, no.
Why not do both, lots of people don't have the DSi after all.
Because games for handheld systems should be on a handheld Virtual Console. Besides, you wouldn't be able to link games to play multiplayer on the Wii. On the DSi they could just replace the Link Cable with the DSi's wireless connection. And if you don't have a DSi, then that's your problem. =p
