Pokémon Should Diamond and Pearl get remakes?

Sinnoh was the region I 1st played. It was strong but very meh as a game like Ruby and Sapphire, it could be so much stronger!!

Purest Heart Gold and Sacred Soul Silver please. I would gladly buy a remake of a remake so long as it means we can skip worst region (Sinnoh).
Hoenn disillusioned a lot of fans but they still got remakes. You'll just have to put up with it.

IF GameFreak decides to do another remake it should just be the third installments of each series. I.E, if they ever remake the Kanto regions, rather than making a new Red/Blue(or Green) they should focus on just making Yellow.

I see it happening in a few more years, I would personally like to see a brand new region or part 2 of X and Y been Z.

DPPl are too technologically advanced as of right now to do a remake; they were just the last generation of handhelds, after all! However, if Ninty were to remake DPPl, they'd be smart to remake Black/White and 2 at the same time. Since they're in the same engine, it'd be a manner of sprite conversion and literally just remaking it. One engine, one game. Freely switching between the two regions after you've beaten both.

There's currently no point. Diamond & Pearl are still playable on the newest handhelds. If someone wants to play them they're not exactly difficult to obtain.

This.

This is the only reason why pokemon games are being remade. They're not being remade because they can make a bit of money or delay the next "big" pokemon game.

The next game to receive a remake would be Kanto, as it's only partially remade through the gen 2 remakes.

Sinnoh was so bad imo

Not that I like sinnoh.. though I don't... The only reason why I am against this is because they were released on the DS system, and can still be played on the 3ds. Theres no reason to rerelease them so soon. On the other hand, they really should remake a gen1 game on the 3ds.. It's been a long time since a gen1 game was released.

Yeah, the original intent of remakes was to make the games
a. compatible so that you could
b. trade your Pokemon up to complete the Pokedex

I would love to see Kanto in 3D. Though the region is a bit... scant in comparison to the newer games. I have invested hella hours in Pokemon X, but not because the actual battling and completing the game is hard, but because there is /so much/ to do!

Yes, It's my favourite region c: Mainly because it was the 1st game I played.

Honestly, I think Generation 1 is in the most need of a remake since everything else is widely available still. I still have a playable version of every generation, but it's the only one that I'd have to use a different system.

No, I'm totally bias though. The 4th gen was my least favorite gen. I could grow to like a remake though, as I really like Omega Ruby even though I didn't care too much for the 3rd gen either.
4th gen wasn't even that long ago...

I wasn't a fan of Diamond and Pearl. In fact besides my wooper army I am still lost and have not beaten the game.

No. I think it would be ridiculous. Originality is what the Pok?mon series needs, and they're doing well with their most recent games. Remakes are pushing us back creatively, and it's about time we stopped with it and focused on originality and games worthy of being called masterpieces.

it's been 9 years.

It's still kinda new tbh.

Regardless of how many years ago it was, it really was only on the last handheld console, which doesn't seem that long ago.

Although I liked the region I didn't like the pokemon they created so much

I would really like a remake since it I really liked that generation, however it probably wont happen since it's not old enough.
