I have to write a short story for school but I don't know what to write about. I want to make the character a girl between the age 7-10. I need a plot so does anymore have any ideas of what it could be about?

Do it about a girl who runs into a boy who accidentally hugs her. After the hug she's able to see strange spirits around her and he has to help her define what is a spirit and what is an actual person in front of her. Twist ending, she's actually dead and the boy is leading her towards her family who are waiting for her in whatever kind of heaven you can imagine.
She and her family all died together in a tragic car accident. She was in a coma. During the coma, she would be in a dream like world where everything is perfect. That should be where she runs into the boy.

she previously lived on earth and has seen the sun. kids born on venus get mad and jealous. she is bullied at school and locked in a closet.
the sun appears and the kids run outside and play.
then it starts raining again.they remember the girl. they let the girl out of the closet.

Dorothy, a young girl aged 8 and a half had just set up her first MyFace account. Immediately, Dorothy gets a friend request from a stranger she doesn't seem to have met before. She adds the unknown stranger, cautious to who it might be yet with a curiosity not unknown among children. She talks to this unknown stranger and finds out that he is named Phil.
"Hello, Phil" types Dorothy. "ASL?"
"Hello, Dorothy. 18, male, the Zoo".
"The Zoo?" asks Dorothy, certain that this has to be a joke. "You can't live at the Zoo, that's for animals!"
Dorothy and Phil continue to talk long into the night. She learns that Phil really does live at the Zoo and that he is a Lion from Africa. They decide to meet the next day where Phil will give her candy and the week after, they have an extravagant marriage with the reception taking place in the south of France.
9 months later Dorothy gives birth to a creepy anthropomorphic Lion. Unsure what to do with the strange Lion-Man baby, Dorothy and Phil decide that it would be for the best that they put it in a dumpster to let nature do the rest, whilst they happily get on with their lives and forget about that creepy baby they threw away.
The human Lion thing grows up and uses his Lion skills and human brain to become a superhero and find out about where he came from, who his parents were and why he was abandoned as a child. He gives himself the name 'Lion-O' and forms a superhero group called 'The Thundercats'.
After a series of failed attempts trying to make the world a better place, 'Lion-O' is left critically injured and unable to walk. He is forced to give up his short lived superhero lifestyle and disband 'The Thundercats'. Soon after, 'Lion-O' is successfully sued by Warner Bros for copywrite violations over the name 'Lion-O' and the illegal use of 'The Thundercats' brand.
Bankrupt and permanently bound to a wheelchair, *removed for copyright violation* gains a drug and alcohol addiction, struggling to make ends meet and becoming isolated as he spends his days drunk in his small, filthy apartment awaiting death.
*removed for copyright violation* is found 6 weeks later by the Police after a complaint was put in by the neighbors regarding a vile smell coming from his apartment. He was found dead, laying in his own vomit with a message in his hand reading "I couldn't go on. Not whilst knowing that Police Chief Sanchez wouldn't love me forever"
Police Chief Sanchez broke down in tears, falling to his knees and cradling *removed for copyright violation* within his arms.
"When I said I wouldn't love you forever...It's because...", he wipes the tears from his eyes "It's because I will love for longer than that...I will love you 5EVER!!!"

It's Halloween. People trick or treating.
A large, dilapidated house sits at the end of the street.
A man waits. His doorbell rings.
He opens the door. Finds small girl age 7-10 standing on the porch.
Nobody is around. He grabs the girl and locks his door.
Continue on from there.

Even if it's a very simple story, you will find that it'll be higher quality if you think of it yourself due to the thought process that would go into it, rather than just reading something and expanding on an already bad idea.
