It doesn't matter. If guns were banned people always find a way to illegally obtain them. Say guns were banned and there was absolutely no way for bad people to get their hands on them... ?mile Henry, committed one of the first (or first) acts of terrorism by detonating a homemade bomb in a cafe in France wounding 20 and killing 1. Going back to your knife point, let's not forget about the Kunming stabbing in China where 8 knife wielders killed 29 people and injuring 140. One person may not be as dangerous with a knife, but in a group it can be very fatal. Furthermore, the Nice attack in France was done with a truck killing 84 and leaving hundreds injured. My point is that people are crafty and will always find a way to carry out these evil acts with guns or no guns if their ill intent is strong enough.
It does matter. Guns should never have been created in the first place, they were created for killing, that's my main issue here. Why still, to this day, is it even remotely normalised to own countless weapons that were made for killing? There's no need.
I am fully aware that countless murders are committed with things other than guns, obviously. I'm also very aware that knives are dangerous, heck, people get stabbed to death all the time! My point is that knives were first created millions of years ago with the intention of being used as tools. Guns were created a few thousand years ago with the intent of killing. I'm not completely oblivious. I'm aware that knives have killed many, many people and I know that people would still obtain guns and kill people with them if they were banned, if not with guns, it'll be with something else. I know all this, but how does it make guns acceptable? Lets just legalise dangerous explosives because people are going to murder people anyway, regardless of whether explosives are legal or not.
I'm not going to comment anymore because, again, it feels rather disrespectful but when someone states that guns are not the problem and things like this would happen regardless it sounds really insensitive. If someone had a family member shot and since hate guns would you tell them that their family member would have been murdered anyway and guns aren't the problem? I know guns are not the full problem, but they are a massive part of it, it's absurd to me that anyone can dispute that and excuse guns.
