Edit: Unless it HAS to be hacked to get a shiny. Idk like i said. this is for a friend, so i'm not sure how to obtain shiny legendaries.. I just know she wants one ^^

I caught a shiny Latios on my ORAS game by pure chance (thought the colors looked different to what I remembered and after I captured it realized that it was a shiny Latios), so don't worry, it doesn't have to be hacked to be shiny
