Sheep Scarves

Looks like they got rid off the scarves for the sake of giving the sheeps now shirts too. I kinda miss the scarves to be honest, as it not only made the sheeps looking more fluffier, but it also fit to them pretty well. I mean, I don't mind that they now wearing shirts, although some outfits don't really fit to them the best, like the Jester shirt on Pietro for example as seen on the one render. It just doesn't look good on him. I guess it will take some time to get used to it. Who knows, maybe scarves are still a thing somehow and the sheep villagers decide on their own what they want to wear?

I miss the scarves as well..I wonder why they changed it.

I made this on Tumblr months ago

I agree sheep look a bit weird now, but honestly, the scarves were limiting them a LOT in terms of what they could wear or not, since most textures weren't just plain and had "clothing details", like a collar, buttons, etc... and those looked awful when worn as a scarf!
So I'm glad they can have more variety now! Good for them!

I really hope scarves are the option for Sheep to wear. Them wearing shirts are kinda...off

Yeah some of the shirts really aren’t looking too good on them, especially without sleeves they look like they’re getting choked, I remover seeing a tumblr post with vesta and spongebob in a really tight shirt and it was soo accurate (*^▽^*) but sometimes the shirt actually works, like the start really ruined more detailed clothes so it was hard to dress them up. I support sheep nudism!

i love willow too

Current villagers: Pierce, Anicotti, Cole, Celia, Quillson, Faith, Lucha, Lucky, Frett, Marina

The first villager I ever spoke to in the GameCube Animal Crossing was Cashmere, who was of course wearing a scarf. I like how the scarves show off the sheeps' floof.
The ability to design scarves at Able Sisters would be a great addition to the next game.

i miss the scarves!!! but when they decided to let villagers wear clothes with sleeves i guess they realized how weird a lot of shirts looked on sheep. or they decided that it's weird if you give them a shirt and they receive a scarf.
i wish they could coexist, but i'm not sure how they would go about programming that...

It was just the way the texture was mapped to the mesh for the villager models. It would still be doable with the current textures.

dom wearing tops is way better than him wearing scarves in pocket camp

also changing a sheep villagers outfit is more like changing the design of the scarf than a torso lol shizues

i know they could still program sheeps to wear scarves, i meant that i wasn't sure how they would go about programming them to be able to wear clothes both as scarves and as shirts/dresses (not necessarily at the same time). and that i think them deciding to give the sheep shirts instead of scarves was an aesthetic choice on their part, not because they were unable to give them scarves now that animals wear shirts with sleeves. sorry i wasn't more clear and i'm sorry if this isn't much more coherent lol...

Ah, gotcha! In general on the sheep some of the clothes look pretty good but patterns look stretched sideways, although they do the same on the elephants too.

the pattern looks stretched when u changes a penguin/hamster villagers outfit
That's probably why Hamphrey insists on wearing the same shirt--it doesn't skew as much as some of them. LOL I also noticed when I was scanning an Amiibo card how much the game doesn't fit correctly the dimensions of the Switch's screen. It's right (or close enough) on my computer monitor but way off on the hand-held.
