I’m sure this question has been asked, but I’ve been finding conflicting information, so I thought I’d go ahead and double-check.

I recently acquired a Switch Lite at a steep discount in addition to my regular Switch. Of course I immediately thought about being able to have a second ACNH island. But if I download my digital copy of the game, is it true that I can’t play on both consoles at the same time? Can I not trade or visit using local play between my two islands? And if not, is that something I can solve by acquiring a physical copy of the game alongside my digital one?

Thanks everyone!

I believe you can, but the second Switch can't have it as the main account. Nintendo is really weird with this sort of thing, but I do remember seeing there's an odd work-around to this. I just don't remember how to do it, or where I found it.

All I know is the account can only be active one at a time, so playing at the same time likely isn't going to happen.
