Share your use of bug/fish models!

Before I flattened my island, I collected butterfly models and made a butterfly garden! I hope I can find space in my new layout to make another one!

Other than the atlas moth, I use some of the other bug models to decorate the more forest-y areas. The fish models are for mostly indoor uses, to decorate the top of high places like the trophy case or wardrobes.

i was just going to post about this subject!
i like the models but i was thinking it might be neat to also be able to use them making furniture or sculptures etc.
if you could take a model *scorpion or whatever* and put a piece of glass over the top of it POOF you have a nice scorpion table.
and if you have butterflies they should give you the option of framing them so you can hang it on the wall...stuff like that.
what do you guys think?

Looks so realistic! I wouldn't know it was a model unless you told me. I love it XD I am trying to collect some models to do the same. I wish we can get more than 1 model at a time from Flick TT

Yeah! He very rarely visit my island so my storage is always overflowing with bugs by the time he's here, just for me to only commission ONCE

Same here. He didn't show up for 3 weeks straight We should at least be able to get 3 models per visit lol

I'm not using mine atm as I'm just hoarding them, I'm model obssessed lol I buy a lot of models when I see them for sale (for reasonable prices that is)... But I plan on using them on my witch's house so I have big plans for those models I'm collecting

I have a headcanon for my island that Dobie's wife passed away and that's why his grand daughter Freya moved into this island to look after him c: This was a little shrine we built for her. In Japanese folklore, i think butterflies are seen as the soul of the dead so I thought it would be nice to add some butterfly models to the shrine too c: I don't have all of them yet but im slowly collecting them whenever Flick decides to visit xD I wish we could lock fireflies in a certain area too cuz that would be magical *u*
