Tell Us your Experience. Your First Time. The time You Failed. The time you almost messed up. The time it took to get the Perfect place. The most Interesting plot places?

I am so Excited to see the Suggestions and Stories!

I plot reset both Fang and Rudy for hours only to end up sticking them in the spot they plotted the very first time. Had I known...

The first time I tried plot resetting was when I asked Muffy to move - in. I was unsure when she would appear so I made a new character and looked around town to see if anything was roped off. There was none, so I logged in to my main to see that she placed her house next to my train station. It was fine, I guess. Lesson learned, sometimes, you have to re-try to make sure whether the villager would move in that day.

Another instance was when I only had 8 villagers, and when I was about to log-in I saw the ropes. I immediately made a new character and resetted a few times until I got Marina and was satisfied with her house placement. Because of that instance, I noticed where the houses would usually appear but I had planned on using those locations for some pwp so right now, I have a bunch of yellow benches all over town to reserve the plots I dont want the villagers to move into. I currently have 10 but the 10th villager was a voided one and just randomly appeared. His house is in an okay placement but not the best. I have added more reservation pwps so hopefully, itll be easier to reset new villager houses.

First time plot resetting was with Rosie. It took her a day and a half to plot reset, because I made the mistake of getting rid of my temporary character, and she kept placing her plot in that area where the temporary character's spot used to be. It took a bit, but she finally put her house in the exact 3x3 plot where Francine's house used to be.

My next and last plot reset was Phoebe, and it only took her two tries to get her in the perfect spot. She was actually one row off from the space I originally wanted her to be, but I decided it was better since I wanted to place a wisteria trellis in front of her house, and my original decision would have caused the buffer zones to interfere and not work out. I guess my plot resetting experiences haven't been all that difficult in the very least. :)

It took me awhile to get everyone into their current positions in my town but I don't think I messed up on any of them. I wanted to create a neighborhood kinda feel. Muffy and Olaf (the two houses closest to the train tracks) took almost the whole day to place when they were moving in.

My plot resetting experience usually goes from being calm, to fuming and then being glad when they fall into an ok spot.

Dizzy, Shep and Roald have all placed their houses by the east coastline, vertically and nicely spaced. It basically makes them seaside properties, and because of the house alignment I think of them as this trio of buddies. So I think those are the most interesting ones.

I'm kind of obsessive when it comes to plot resetting, though sometimes I give up when it seems impossible.

My first one was Felicity's who took about 75 resets. I want her house beside Anicotti's, but that time I didn't know that I should spam my town with pwps to make plot resetting easier.
It was frustrating since she put her plot everywhere else BUT beside Anicotti, and I almost messed up several times since I'm so used to log in as my mayor. In the end I managed to get her house beside Anicotti's though, so hooray!

My record is with Colton for about 300 times over two weeks. He was always only one square off where I wanted him. In the end I got fed up and settled with one square off :p

The easiest one was Fang's. He only took two resets before his house ended up exactly where I want him to be.

The most interesting plot place? The place I circled here:

Like sheesh, seriously? >.> Who wants to live in a crammed spot near tram track like that??

I tried plot resetting with Mira first. She's an ultimate favorite, so I tried to get her to plot her house in a spot that was perfect. That failed. Mira refused to put her house anywhere, but where Town Hall and the Police Station were. I tried plot resetting for more than 6 hours, and still no luck. Eventually, I just gave up, and she ended up plotting her house you know where. Between Town Hall and the Police Station.

I really hated that spot, but now I've grown used to it. Besides, what's done is done. Though, I wish I could have gotten her to move her house in a better, not as crowded place.

Interesting stories :) my record was probably bob, I was picking a villager that was nice , took half a day.. And also punchy I had to build so many houses and peps to get him to the place where Chrissy moved out but he was 2 spaces off but it was fine..

I'm surprised there is not more angst in this thread!

I used to plot re-set for perfect placement in my previous town. Like some have mentioned, it was white-knuckled frustration which developed into a phobia of Rover and his train interrogation.

In my new town, I've decided whatever will be, will be. So far only Rasher has plonked his house quite close to mine, but the rest have surprisingly been spread out all over the map.

Recently I was trying to plot reset for Cherry's house on my newly started town.
I wasn't paying attention and accidentally logged into my mayor. That has never happened before.
I stayed calm and thought: 'Damn. That will take a long time to get that villager out.'
I searched for the house plot and looked who I got. And who was it? It was Cherry!
I muffled my screams with my hands and made a dance of joy. :D That was insane luck!

Coincidentally, I am plotting Cherry as we speak. Normally, when I plot a villager, I get insanely lucky and get a great spot right off the bat. However, I have been trying to plot Cherry for about five hours and I am considering settling her to be one square away from where I originally wanted to plot her. Oh, want to do... Does any body know if a villager plots their house next to a tree, it will kill the tree? Or is it like when you originally start your game and they allow things to invade the 3x3 of the tree's area?

It took me about an.hour to plot reset zell and stitches no.time at all he moved in a perfect spot

The first three times that I tried to plot reset was a failure...I set the date/time to 6AM on the same day, instead of advancing one day ahead >__<
Then I realised what I did wrong, but by then, most of my Dreamies have already placed their house down. Francine's was right in front of Brewster's as well. But I managed to work my way around it, most of it.

In my second town I'm plotting down some temporary PWP to block their plot spaces

I am currently plot resetting Diana's house...and while the previous resident set their plot down within a few tries, Diana is proving to be incredibly stubborn...

She keeps plot setting down in the same place on my path...

I haven't had much problems at all with plot resetting, I've been pretty careful. Although I haven't at all when a random villager I got from somewhere plotted on my paths. Well then, expect the unexpected is all I can say.

I'm currently doing my first plot resetting for my dreamie Mott (THANK YOU SO MUCH 3Dewdrops!!)... x_x I honestly didn't really want to start bringing in any dreamies until I PWP blocked certain areas off, but someone offered him for free so... how could I turn him down??? :( And not many people have him around, I don't think, let alone for free! At this point though, if I don't get him in the perfect spot by tonight, I might just plop him down wherever and wait for the 16 cycle to go through so I can PWP-block. x.x

Like I said I've never plot reset before and I've been at it for I think an hour now... and I'm getting discouraged with all the horror stories of resetting for 15 hours or even 2 weeks?! How is that even possible, for one thing. You can't TT with a new character so how do you complete it before the next day comes? Heeeeeelp... :'(

Screw it, I am the least patient person ever and he's super close and the spot is workable so I'm doin' it. lol
