I don't know if there is an existing thread about this, but I'll just post it.
What are the little things you enjoy in Animal Crossing: New leaf?
Tbh I'm kinda obsessed with scanning QR codes, it's just so satisfying imo xd

saaammeeee. i love going to the internet and finding new qr codes and paths to decorate my town with. but i've settled with a permanent path so i dont search for path as much.

I actually enjoy landscaping. As in planning out where my plants and bushes are going to go. It makes me feel like my little town is finally coming together, and actually looking like a village instead of a rural area. Another little thing is when you start to build friendships with villagers, and they start to refer to you more endearingly and start to tell you how much you mean to them and start sending you loads of letters, even if you didn't send any in the first place.

For me, it's simply interacting with my villagers/NPCs. That's the main reason I play this game. I get excited everytime I see a new line of dialog and I love getting invited to their houses or having them visit mine. And I still talk to Harvey every day even though he just repeats the same 4 lines, and I check on Kicks even though I've already cataloged everything he sells.

Yeah, I know I'm weird...

I'm obsessed with making backstory/character info for my non-mayors and I put more effort into them.
I kinda put a bit of closed off headcanons (exclusive to Somnus) for villagers too though I try not to get too crazy.

Making my paths through my town is so incredibly relaxing to me. It usually takes me an hour or two to make it perfect, but it's always to worth it to me!

I like the puns. The terrible, terrible puns. I spend a lot of time fishing and bug-catching for them. I also love just watching my villagers go around and do their own things. I especially love when they get happy and start whistling/singing.

Admiring the work I did on my town. Also interior designing, hunting beetles and sharks on the island to make Bells, and playing ACNL Puzzle League.

Ah my favourite kind of thread, my opinions are the best.
There's not much left after 2 years, but it lasted way longer than what I assumed from this game tbh. I'm easily bored yet I like to focus one save file in games and make everything perfect. Landscaping and qr hunting used to be my favourites as well. For the things I still enjoy, d r e a m s. I love it when a town has a different feel to it. Makes me feel like my mayor is in another similar game since I'm used to seeing my own town and feel its vibes all the time. Even towns that looks a lot like eachother is fine to me if it has been a while since I saw another like that. I just like visiting, have a change of air at times

uh idk really because I'm not a fan of acnl, I just play the game when I got nothing else to do. So idk what is the fun thing to do in this game, huh hmmm uh hmm nope idk at all.

I enjoy landscaping a lot. I like searching and hording all the materials I need and then see my town developping. I'm always so happy when i finish a certain area. :)

The small conversation you can have with your villagers, and i mean actual conversations, not the ''get me a fruit, i am hungry''
The construction you can do without anyone really caring :P
The gardening ( everything regarding gardening included ) that you can do and everyone is like ''K'' :P
The island can be really fun for the bug hunting so you can get some real cash, ha ha
Even though the tours can get tedious at times, they sill are fun for a few minutes
The community, if it's here, or on some other ACNL forum, doesn't matter.
Visiting other people's towns, i like to see what others did with their towns.
The clothes... oh the clothes, i have 3 of the 4 museum room you can buy, FULL with complete ''costumes'' i wear from season to season or from event to event, or whatever to whatever.
The customization to all the furniture.

And that's probably it :P
can't think of more that i like about the game.

Kinda sad but sometimes I just stand at the edge of the cliff or at the beach at night and just listen to the waves crashing with the gentle music in the background~ so pretty

I like collecting items. I have all the balloon furniture and I only need like 16 more bugs until I've donated all of them. I want all the clothes and a completed museum, and all the gyroids.

I enjoy landscaping or decorating my house. Both are pretty much set, but the way I have it, my town shifts with the seasons as different "neighborhoods" have bushes that bloom.

Most of my house is set, furniture-wise, but I have rococo pieces in my main room, and I get Cyrus to remake them each season, along with changing the wallpaper and flooring. It gives a completely different feel to the room. I also change out the wall and floor in the kitchen, and swap fruit and other food items. Something so small can really make a difference.

I also like when villagers send letters, they change the closing based on what the body of the letter said. I got one from W. Link yesterday that called himself "a shy wolf" or something similar. It makes things seem a little more personal.

I'm very picky on my interior decoring, so when I finish one room and I'm happy with it I'm super proud.
