Hi!

I started a second town to make it look pretty, figured a Disney/Princessy/Tangled kind of town would be nice.
But, I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START! :O It's waaaay to overwhelming, so I need tips on how you guys have planned out your towns :)

Thanks!

Sorry I don't have many tips to start but that theme sounds so super cute C: (I am in love with the movie tangled - it's like my favourite film ever)
But I usually just start with the trees and paths - maybe just organizing where you want to start shaping the paths in the town (I don't think there is a easy way to just START a town but I usually organize my flowers, putting them onto the beach to breed and getting them out of the way)

That's what I do, sorry if this doesn't help much haha

I'd say planning paths starting from the railroad tracks are a good place to start. Then, I usually grab all the flowers from the town and plant the same kinds next to each other to get more and hybrids.

Well I am kinda just setting up my second town (a modern city) and obviously layout of the town is the first thing (which I guess you already have). The more practical stuff for me generally comes after the planning... so I found my paths, flag etc... decided what colour scheme I wanted and what trees/bushes/flowers fit that. Have a look at other towns for inspiration for things you could incorporate into your town, but then change it to fit your theme... And of course plan your villagers if you feel like you want to pick them... I have a file on my PC with text files, spreadsheets, pictures of my town map, pictures of possible path ideas etc... it all goes in there, then when I feel a bit overwhelmed or stuck I can refer to it :)

Thanks!
Maybe I'll feel up to it one of these days, my other town is full of flowers (regular mostly) and I've put all sorts of PWP everywhere, taking it all down and picking up all the flowers would be waaaay to much work, hence the start of a new second town

The flower breeding on the beach is a good one, never thought of that :) I need to get some purple roses, but no luck yet :') I've never been able to breede those! Only pink flowers, and orange..

I always start out by cutting down all my trees and moving all my flowers to the beach (though I only keep roses, as they are my favorite flower in game) so it's easier to lay down a path. I then make a list of things that I need to make my town fit to a theme and work on either buying them in game or buying them on here. I generally only keep a town for 3 to 6 months at a time (with the most being 9 months with my first play through) so I've never been able to complete a theme to the point where I was happy with it.

Also, I will write or draw a picture of what I plan to make the town be like. If you plan on having certain villagers in certain spots, be sure to be prepared to spend a while on this (and remember it is just a game and not worth getting upset over.) I also had to be sure that I didn't get bored with a town so I'd take breaks of upwards of 2 months (however I would generally reset after a long break especially if I didn't set up the beautiful town ordinance.

Just remember it's a game meant to be fun and if you find yourself getting frustrated just put it down for a while!

If you want to buy some purple hybrids, ime-ribs is selling them for 1 tbt! I know some players don't like buying hybrids, but just in case you didn't know. They were very fast in delivering the items and flowers I ordered.
