Servers down?

This is my first time experiencing this in ACNL before, does it happen often and how long does it usually last for? This seems like its never ending!!! So many things to do, but none of them can get done until the servers are back up!

I've never seen it happen before now. It's weird, no warning or anything :/

it happens fairly often, usually lasts like 4+ hours, unfortunately. you can look here to find out more info -- looks like the maintenence ends at 7pm PST.

Since I started playing New Leaf(since north American release) they just about have always had server maintenance on Mondays. Sometimes on Thursdays though that is rare. It lasts usually anywhere from 2-4 hours off and on.

Well I'm glad I wasn't the only one with the issue. This is the first time I've seen this, and I've had the game since it came out.

There have been numerous posts on this before and you never saw them? Besides the fact that it IS pretty regular event.
I just assumed most people who were older players would have known about this by now and just go with the flow. Except for new players I just wouldn't think this would be much of an issue(other then not being able to trade, visit/ etc) its not like you cant play the game at all. Oh by the way this doesn't just affect ACNL either but a LOT of games that run off the servers. Just an FYI.

Extended AGAIN? At this point it would have been more responsible for them to just assume it was going to take forever and give that estimate, rather than say it would be done at 7 PST, then 10, then 12. :/

Yeah, it's a little ridiculous. I've had an adoption planned and it keeps having to be pushed back. Likely won't be done by today now v.v

well I guess for future reference just in case don't plan any huge events, adoptions etc on Mondays sometimes (very rarely) Thursdays.
Not that it has ever taken this long but well at least you now know!

Yeah as HM says,it happens quite often. I tend to miss it as I'm usually asleep during the maintenance. Only experienced it a few times
