they're pretty boring to me; i mean, there are only so many ways you can arrange the same few pieces of furniture, you know? i personally have more fun mixing things rather than matching but to each their own
I guess it can be kind of boring, but not everyone has the creative energy or desire to put effort into making something completely unique. I think some people care about being creative, while others are fine with simply making something look good. And things that match DO look good imo, so maybe that's all they're going for. It's simple, but it works at least.
I personally don't give a damn about my house at the moment. I'm in my house only 2% of the time when playing Animal Crossing, so it's a hot mess lmao. Right now I'm too busy cataloging all the furniture and designing my villager's homes instead.
Another question. What do you personally find more creative: the use of a complete (including wall and floor) series that isn't often used (like idk a complete green series) with the addition of some decorative items or a 'mix and match room' of a theme that has often been done before (like a caf? or kitchen)?
I like mixing two series in my rooms. People who find it boring might not see how you can get creative mixing series with bits and pieces of other things. Honestly just saying it's boring shows little imagination.
I make my rooms with what feels nice to me. I love the egg series so I have all of that in a room, I keep the ice series in a room because I won it in a giveaway and I'm sentimental :')
I guess I kind of like it when a room is all one series because I think it looks cleaner? Neater maybe?
Maybe it's just because I'm really uncreative when it comes to room designs
As long as they aren't Nintendo themed rooms I really don't care. Themed rooms actually have some uniformity going for them. I'm more bothered by random rooms without any theme, to be honest.
I kind of go back and forth on this topic. Sometimes I find it really boring but sometimes I like how neat everything looks. Mixing and matching is good too if you can make it work right.
I have a few rooms that are sets and some I just created on my own so I don't get bored. :>
I used to make rooms dedicated to one series, but I'd always throw in a few different items that weren't part of the series, but went with it to make things interesting.
While I find rooms dedicated to a single series kind of boring, they can be nice as long as you mix it up a bit.
I don't mind as long as there's other stuff too. I've seen houses where like one room is only mermaid, one is only gorgeous, etc... with like no plants or another things to help make it unique. Those are pretty boring imo.
