I'm a little late seeing this topic but I have a pretty amazing story about sept 11th!

I live pretty close to NYC (about an 1-1/2 hours away in CT) so a lot of parents in my town have jobs down in New York and commute there everyday. My brother's friend's dad actually had a job in the world trade center but was laid off the DAY before September 11th. Had he not been, he would most likely not be here today. Amazing, right?

I'm not saying he was, I'm saying it's easy to interpret as such and to be offended. It's no reason to exploit the feelings of someone young over such a terrible issue.
