Seperate town donations?

I've heard rumors -for example, you need to donate 200k for a fountain ALL AT ONCE.-
Is that true or can you just donate any amount whenever?

No you can do it in parts.

But I found out the hard way that if you donate 500k at once they build the bridge and then you have to pay 500k AGAIN for the stupid fountain.

Ugh 300k wasted.

500k= fountain
1 mil= lighthouse/windmill

Donate 200k for bridge first wait until it is built then donate 500k for fountain...again wait till it is built so u dont waste any BELLZ!
