Selling something, not realising it was an unorderable.

I am normally pretty aware where all items come from but I messed up and I thought that papa bear was giant bear, so I paid to catalog but then realized it was a diy :^) at least the seller let me talk to Celeste so I consider the 1NMT wasted was for her instead of the catalog to ease my mind

Yessss. I got the South Pole item from Gulliver and didn’t need it immediately so I sold it. When I finally got the idea on how I could incorporate it on my island, I found out I couldn’t reorder it ;-; lesson learned: check that baby before you sell it

I sold unorderable wallpaper from Saharah ;;-;; I didn't even know it was from her because someone else gave it to me and I sold it to free up inventory space, only to later find out it was Saharah's. I'm hoping someday I can find her selling it so I can get it again.

I gave Pashmina one of those toy soldiers from Gulliver, she has moved out now, not a big deal I guess, I wasn't really that into it anyway otherwise I would have kept it xD

I do sell some of the wallpaper and carpets Saharah sells if I really don't like them, no point in filling my strange on wallpaper/carpets I won't use!

I was on my way to the beach to place the cooler from the fishing tournament alongside the fishing rods etc to jazz up the area around my pier, when I called in to Nook's Cranny to sell a few bits and bobs.

Yep, I accidentally sold the cooler.

I'm hoping the next tournament has the same prizes so I can finally complete my plans for that area!

On the opposite side of the spectrum, I've accidentally asked to catalog items I can't order without realizing they were part of the "Not for Sale" .-.

I did with the sombrero. I was running out of storage and got rid of a bunch of items I knew I wouldn't use. Certainly making up for that with my clothing collection now! lol

I second this request, does anyone know where to find a list of everything unorderable that you can only find in the recycling bin? I've tried looking on most of the popular catalog sites, but there doesn't seem to be an option to search by where the items are obtained. But maybe that's on a site I didn't look on yet.

The ability to filter by source and the ability to filter lists you've made on the catalog sites are my two biggest wishes. MoriDB you could search by source for NL, (but couldn't filter your list) but I don't think they ever updated to add NH items.
