(Seemingly?) Unattainable Badges ;n;

Ahh I'm getting a little TOO goal-oriented for a cute, open game... But sometimes I think I'll never get some badges!!

I mean, I can get a bunch. Catching lotsa bugs/fish/diving creatures and filling their respective encyclopedias go hand-in-hand, I can visit KK Slider every week, cycling towns usually have weeds... I completely understand a ton of the in-game badges, even if they seem very hard (weeding & bell-saving badge) or would naturally take about two years (looking @ you, KK Slider badge)

But what I'm really mad about is the Streetpass Badge!! I know maybe 3 people IRL who have acnl, I don't go to conventions, and I live far enough from the city that i dont pass anyone with it! Also since the game came out nearly a year and a half ago, it's hard to find people who still streetpass using acnl and not some other game! ;n;

Idk I just feel like a lot of the other badges can be done in-game, albeit some over YEARS naturally... But this one you need direct outer interfearance! I wish you could just street pass people when you visit their village. That'd be nice.

Idk. Does anyone else have anything to say on this? Or have any other badges you think are unreasonable?

I agree. Streetpass is an irritating feature here in America, in Japan it makes more sense because they're much closer together than Americans are. I'm an adult so I don't really have any friends that play ACNL except one.

Yeah what is it, 500 dream addresses? But I guess at least you can do as many as you want a day! That's something ^^;
But yeah I'm not looking forward to visiting 500 different dream addresses >.<

Streetpass badge seems impossible for me since I live in the suburbs with minimal street passing ;_;

The medals ones takes a hella long time as with Joan's Turnips. It's tough on me since I time travel due to my time schedule ;v;

Streetpass badge is nearly impossible for me as well. its almost a year now and I only just got the first badge yesterday. It sucks so much, I wish it wasn't a badge at all to be honest, but because streetpass is more popular in Japan, it's not like they'd just get rid of that feature...
I hate the balloon one too, who in the world has time for that? Plus the balloon series sucks after a while. At first it was cute and I wanted to get all of the pieces, but now it's just tedious waiting for it to appear and pop.
I'm working on the dream badge now, at least you can calculate how much money you need to spend so it's easier to keep track. I don't even explore those towns anymore especially if the tree isn't big or no paths are around.

I agree. Not a fan of the streetpass, turnip, or medal badges, and not sure how long it will take me to get host, travel, weeding, balloon or gardening even with buying flowers from Leif daily. KK isn't that hard though, just request multiple songs each time you visit, they all count. You could end up with gold in just a few weeks

You know you can listen to multiple songs a night and it'll still count? I did that and got a badge the next day. And I agree with the Streetpass thing. I don't live in a heavily populated area so it's hard to get Streetpasses. And it doesn't help since I don't bring my 3DS anywhere that much, and I don't go out much in general either. I've only Streetpassed 2 people in the past year that I've had this game, besides Reggie and a few other people. I'm not sure if there are anymore that I think is hard to achieve, but if there are I'll edit this/post it.

I'm finding the Weeding Badges & the Turnip badges the hardest to obtain. I have the bronze Weeding Badge, but the only reason that I was able to get that was because of the insane amount of TT-ing I done a little while back - I have beautiful ordinance on so very few weeds grow.

When it comes to the Turnip Badges, I don't even have one of them... I'm rarely every playing before 12pm on a Sunday & I just find turnips tedious to take care of. Don't think I'll ever get the Turnip Badges until I have all of the others. ^^;

i don't really see myself getting the streetpass badge anytime soon like. i have the bronze one, but anything above that? probably not. i'm not in school as much as i used to be, so the one or two passes i used to get rarely happen now. i haven't even gotten the bronze turnip badge yet. i've tried, but usually my retail doesn't get above 100 when i actually have turnips in. plus i tt a lot so they usually die. but today i bought 70 turnips because i can't tt right now, so i'm hoping to find a high priced turnip sale in someone's town soon.

I agree. I live in the middle of nowhere so streetpassing other players is nearly impossible. ;w;

I think the island tour badges are the ones I'll never finish though. I hate those games so much, I only play them when I absolutely have to. I'll never get 5,000 or however many you need for gold.

Also if you're trying to get your weeding badges sakurakiki, you're more than welcome to pull up my entire cycling town. There's over 1,000 there now and it's easy to get them to grow with TTing. c:

I'm already terribly handicapped by not having access to wireless internet. That's a hell of a lot of badges I ain't getting. Dreamer, Streetpass, Host and Traveller just aren't going to happen. In all fairness, the last three probably wouldn't have happened anyway. Not only do I dislike interacting with real people when I game (gaming is my escape from social interaction, not goal), I also don't live in a country in which a square foot of pavement which remains unoccupied for ten minutes is considered to have shamed its family (you have my eternal respect if you recognise the source of that quote).

The badges I can in theory complete but in practice will probably not happen are the Turnip, KK Slider and Weeding Badges. I don't always remember to sell turnips when I buy them, and I don't have a lot of spare cash as it is all going into PWPs, my house and my progress to the catalog badges right now. I just don't play Saturday evenings so I'm always forgetting to see KK Slider, and as for that weeding badge...I'm lucky if I get one weed in a week! 500? 2000? 5000? HA HA HA HA! AS IF!

As many have said: Streetpass. The others I know I'll get over time, the last ones probably being using rod/net/diving 5000 times. But 1000 Streetpass hits?! It took me like a year to get 100 for bronze omg. We have another 3DS at home with ACNL, so sometimes I get 1 - 2 hits a day, but only if they happened to be on at the same time, which isn't every day. I can see myself reaching silver in the next 6 months maybe. The only time I really get a few hits is if I visit Nintendo zone places like McDonald's, which isn't often, or in the school holiday if I carry my 3Ds everywhere then I sometimes get a couple going into town. If it was 500 hits for a gold badge, that's be so much better!!!

Good for people in Japan, only takes a few weeks (Not kidding, you get like 50 just going out to lunch...my friend did in Japan)! I live on a farm, in the middle of no where... I don't get any streetpass, and I have yet to get even one. I feel your pain. I'm trying to get all the badges....at least its the one badge I am missing, few of the rest are either bronze or silver, need gold.

Haha I feel your pain there again! I didn't realize that till after playing for many, MANY months you could do that! I got that badge after ONE night.

The streetpass one feels like it was designed for the original Japanese player. The friends that I have that visited Japan got their badge the first day there. On the other hand, I get no AC streetpasses unless I go to a Nintendo hotzone and even that is rare nowadays.

I think for me, the hardest badges for me to obtain would be the Turnip one and the gold bellionire one. I don't think I have the patience enough for either of them.
