Second Villager of same Personality

So one of the things I really struggled with in planning my town was when I figured my fav villagers in each personality group, what personality and villager to double up on for a full town...

I know some people don't care, but it was important for me to have all the personalities and wanna know how other people have dealt with this.

I have had countless doubles come and go in each personality type, but I finally settled on Lopez and O'Hare for double guys. I will always have O'Hare and Lopez has just randomly struck me and really fun and cool! plus I'm planning an african savannah-ish yard around him thats gonna look tight

Celia and Molly are my current double girls... but Molly's cuteness I can see wearing off soon, and Celia is gorgeous and I think trumps Flurry and the others I tried before

Gosh, that's tough. I can't seem to find a uchi or jock that I want to stick with. I realized too late that Katt is the coolest uchi (for me), and now I'm cycling to get her back.

I've got doubles of normals, peppies and smugs ATM. I'll prob keep double smugs for sure.

I'm not much of a fan of jocks, so one was enough for me. I've got doubles of normal (Lolly and Pekoe) and smug (Keaton and Eugene). Seems to work well for my town.

Right now (you probably know though lol because you come over) I have double normals and peppies with one of everything else. I might be switching Rosie out though for just one peppy because Sprinkle is my favorite and I don't know if I want her to have some "competition" per say. Double normals is a must for me because it's my favorite personality type next to uchi and there are so many adorable ones and I always end up switching my normal out for another one (but I will be keeping Molly around). I really don't like jocks either so there is a chance, Kid Cat might be leaving soon

But i better decide soon bc i just paid for art of my mayor and villagers all together

yeah the jocks are pretty annoying... but Poncho is so cute and adorable, it just is funny to me lol! I don't hear too much of double snooties either... and the 2 lazies wasn't that bad as everyone had said

I've never met Poncho. I'll have to be on the look-out for him in my cycle town.

I have double snooties and I like it, I had double smugs for a while but I quit and Julian moved away.

I have triple normals (Lily, Nana, and Savannah). I didn't plan it to be that way (I was going to have double normals, double lazies) but Nana's just the cutest thing. Plus this way I have my favourite from WW (Savannah), my favourite from CF (Lily), and my favourite from NL (Nana), which I think is cool. R.I.P. Liz from GC. ;_;

I had two peppies before at the same time, Felicity and Winnie, didn't really care since they weren't really a hand full. One time I had three lazies Filbert, Erik and Bob, it was TERRIBLE their dialogue was the same they acted the same every thing, it was like six handfuls it was so tiring I forced them all out and replaced them with one lazy; Beau. I have two smugs; Julian and Marshal, they are quite boring having them, too much dancing and saying shroom, too much romance and everything. Let alone one smug is enough! Oh and now the normals, oh normals. One normal is boring enough for a town but more than one is too much monotone in a town. They're like sitting through a lecture, it's too much to handle two normals. It's the boring personality and dialogue that really gets you. And last of all the crankies oh Fang and Tom, they aren't too bad after all. Talking about their kids and grand kids all the time. It still makes your town repetitive enough that it's too boring. If your looking to have duplicate personalities I'd go for villagers with dialogue full of life, like uchi, peppy or jock.

I have a couple of doubles myself- two Lazies (Erik, Deli) and two Snooties (Mallary, Portia), and I've never had an issue with them. On the contrary, I think that both personalities are interesting enough to warrant a second member of it in my town. When it comes to doubling, my view is that it's better to go with a personality you enjoy more than others; but not one that would be more novel with just one member of that personality: for instance, I find Smugs and Normals a lot more quirky and loveable with just the one in your village. As a result, though Smug is my favourite male personality, I just chose to have Kyle.

I've picked personalities that are somewhere in-between for me. I like to have only one of the personalities I like best so that their dialogue won't get repetitive (other than when I've temporarily had multiples of those) and only one of the personalities I dislike because I don't want to have to avoid villagers. I just pick personalities that are between those two extremes.

I usually have multiple lazies and normals and occasionally smugs.

I just kept all the villagers I liked in my town (one of each personality), and added my two dreamies, so I have two smugs and two normals.

My favorite personality is actually cranky, but I didn't want another one because Gaston needs to be unique.

I have two smugs right now (Ken and Lopez), which kinda sucks because I really, really wanted Marshal in my town. ;-; I still do tho.

i have triple snooties (francine, whitney, mint), double normals (molly, poppy), and double crankies (wolfgang and fang). i really want to make room for deirdre so i'm thinking of letting mint or fang go, but they're both so cute. for me the snooty dialogue doesn't get really repetitive, but i like their dialogue a lot. the cranky dialogue is getting pretty repetitive but once in a while fang says some super sweet and funny things and i think that i can't let him go haha, i don't know what i'm going to do.

I have double peppy, double lazy, and then one of each other type except the male lothario type. Smug. I only have nine villagers so I might look for a smug (I like Henry.) I like peppy and lazy personalities and think they compliment each other well in a town. I also like normal, but think their conversations are kinda boring. But most of this was just a happy accident, and then kinda keeping an eye on my campsite!

I have two cranky villagers (Avery and Elvis) and two snooty villagers (Bree and Maelle) living in Westerly right now.

I have double crankies,Roscoe and Avery, and I'm thinking of going triple crankies with Static (I wish he was a lazy so bad), but I also really want Ken. I have no idea about my last villager. I've narrowed it down to Ken, Static, and Lyman. Which would mean triple crankies, double smugs, or double jocks. No idea...

In my villager pictures-themed town ACNLpics, I have no repeats of animal species. They're all separate. And they are:

02. Snooty deer Diana
03. Lazy dog Biskit
04. Normal octopus Marina
05. Jock pig Kevin
06. Peppy squirrel Nibbles
07. Smug koala Eugene
08. Uchi cat Katt
09. Additional male: Cranky wolf Fang
10. Additional female: Normal rhinoceros Merengue​

I suggest that, if you're concerned with a feeling of redundancy, you can help yourself with not choosing the same animal specie with two Crankies or two Snooties or two Lazies or two Normals or two Jocks or two Peppies or two Smugs or two Uchis.
