I've already made two threads today, better stop before I'm unintentionally spamming lol...

Anyhow, I want to make a themed town and I have a cool idea, but I dunno if I should reset my town, or just buy a second copy. I have enough money, and I probably have the time to invest, but I'm not sure.

Pros of second town:
More animals to meet
Greater freedom for ideas
Less boredom with only one town
A second chance at everything, while not regretting leaving your old town

Cons of second town:
Harder to keep both towns up to par
Money down the drain ($62 dollars for one game basically)
End of forgetting first town, and realizing that resetting was the best option

For resetting the pros and cons are fairly obvious...

What do you think I should do? Those of you that have debated this choice...

I've gotten a second town, mainly because I wanted to do the whole themed town, and since I love my first town, I didn't want to reset. The problem is, is that I like my first town too much, and I kinda forget about my second town. Although, if I ever decide to sell the physical copy (my first town), I can transfer my data to the digital copy. So, like you said, pros and cons. I'll prolly end up never finishing the second themed town.

Personally, I'd only get a second copy for another town if I bought another regioned game (it'd be Japan for me, since I can get a used Japanese 3DS for a good price since I live in Japan). It's hard enough to keep up with 1 game sometimes, so I think 2 would be hard.

Unless you have a lot of time to play 2 towns, I really think you should just make your 1 town the best it can be. If you're unhappy with it, reset. You can always ask a trustworthy person to hold your items and bells for you in their town.

It seems like you are "in a pickle"! pahahahaha
okay I think you should reset. at least that's what i would do. You get to start anew and fresh, and I think dealing with two towns would just be too much time wasted but I mean hey if you have the money and time, go for it.

It's up to you!
The game is quite cheap here now, so I would go for second game
But 62 dollars sounds a lot so for you I would reset!

I think resetting would be your best option. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands I don't think it's a good idea to get a second copy.

Definitely reset. I feel as though if you are making a themed town, a lot of your time will be invested in it since it'll probably have to be a certain way making it much easier to forget the other town.

I think you should reset, because you're most likely to forget about the other town. I don't think its worth it to buy another copy, you might get bored of it sooner or later.

I personally just bought another copy because I realized with the amount of time I've put in, that $35 is well worth it when you consider how many hours of fun gameplay I get from it per dollar spent....

I decided I wanted to reset but I didn't want to lose all my items, so I ended up buying another copy to give to my BF after I am done moving all my stuff over.

Initially I was super excited about my new town but then I got kind of annoyed with all the time consuming moving stuff, and also having to unlock things again and rebuild all my PWP. But I am gonna stick with it.

I bought a second copy and returned it a week later. Not worth it, imo. Try to theme your current town, and if you're still bored, reset!
