When you get a second hand game and you have a snoop at the previous save and it's better than yours

Dear Mayor Luke, of 'footy'. I will do you proud ahaha I literally don't wanna delete the save.

Anyone else think it's cute looking at the previous owners towns?

I've never had a used cartridge, but I would definitely look around before starting over. I think it would be a lot of fun. And if there was anything worth keeping, I'd transfer it over to my other town.

Why not play in "footy" for a while? LOL

man i wanted to try this, i bought a used copy of the game from game stop, but i think they either swiped the town before giving it to gamestop or gamestop swipped it because it was 100% empty and i was so let down.


where did you find your extra game? i thought about looking around for a third copy.

It's the best reason to buy a used game... I always have a gander on the cartridge to see if there's anything worth saving. Haven't found a good NL town, but I've found several good Pokemon...

Yeah...I've found a lot of good stuff and good villagers on used cartridge game saves.It's also interesting to see what kind of themes the previous owners were going for.One town had all the trees chopped down and the only PWPs were a bunch of oil drilling rigs...very ugly.I didn't keep that town but I did keep the 20 million bells that were stashed there.About a year ago I bought a used cart that I intended to use for cycling but it had an existing game save of a town called Halow'een and it looked like the previous owner had started a Halloween themed town but never finished.After I was done with my cycling on that cart I thought it would be kind of a waste to reset the town because the previous owner had some really good QR codes and a lot of interesting non-orderable items so I decided to try to finish what they started with the Halloween theme.It's coming along pretty well so far.

I couldn't resist and I've ordered another second hand game, I think I'm going to have to keep 'footy' for a little bit, it's too cute to not. But because it was a Male mayor none of the cute stuff like Shampoodles is unlocked so I'll have to do that ahah

Did it with nintendogs too, felt like I was adopting abandoned dogs ahaha! I'm way too sentimental!

I've never had a used cartridge before on any game but it might actually be worth my while getting one after reading this....
I just bought myself a second copy but it's a new one so I'll have to wait a bit to see if I can justify getting another although I assume they're going cheaper.

Yeah I got one a couple of days ago... I was really disappointed though because they didn't have anything good and hadn't really played much of the game at all. I had planned to keep it and kind of develop the poor, unwanted town... but they had put their mayor's house, campsite and cafe in really ugly places and I couldn't bring myself to work around it :/

My second copy was a used game. I checked it out and the town was so barren. Wiped the game soon after that haha

i don't think being male has anything to do with shampoodle and such, i'm male and it was the first thing i got. where did you get your second hand cart from?

From eBay, and I wasn't saying it did have anything to do with it in general, just in this case, he obviously wasn't interested, but that works for me cos he's done all the things that I never get done like levelled up the t&t mart and put fossils in. Works for me!

I honestly thought that this one would be wiped, because the person i got it from was like a second hand game shop on ebay sort of thing, but was happy to find it wasn't

Shampoodles isn't an optional upgrade though, you get it after kicks opens, it's not a pwp or anything, so him being a guy wouldn't affect it either way.

I remember my first cartridge was used. I don't remember when/how I deleted it (I was clueless at the time lol) and then after that I had such a hard time figuring out how villagers had big houses.
Then one day I discovered that there were home loans, lol
That was when I had no idea Tier's existed and I just treated Marshal like a normal villager.

Fun times.

I bought a used game from Gamestop and I encountered a town with all deer villagers except Static. I don't personally like the deer villagers so I deleted it and started a new town.

I wiped my game before my husband sold it. If I hadn't the new owner would have found nothing but lots of trees everywhere because I planted 9 of each island fruit before I realized it was a bad idea.

I bought a used copy for one of my towns, but I wiped it before I started playing. I knew what I wanted for the town and it needed to be a fresh start.

This sounds cute but I don't have a used cartridge. I want a second cartridge and I might get it used if I find any that are much cheaper than new (the ones I've found are just slightly cheaper and not worth it).
