Second copy question!

I'm considering getting a second copy for cycling, but I have a few questions. I'll try to word them the best I can. Please let me know if the wording confuses you! I'm terrible with trying to explain things.

1. I have a digital copy of ACNL. If I begin a new town on the same DS, can it override my original town on the SD card? On the home menu, will two copies of ACNL show up (since one is in the SD card slot and the other is in the actual card slot).

2. I have a regular 3DS and a 3DS XL. I plan on using my XL for the cycling town just like my main town, but sometimes I may want to transfer a villager over to my main town (which is on the SD card on my XL). Can I use the regular 3DS to do this? I'm asking this because the friend code on my 3DS and 3DS XL are different from each other. Can I use the physical copy on any DS and still be able to visit my main town on my XL?

3. Can somebody link me to good cycling guides? I'm new to cycling, and I want to know the best (and quickest) way to do it.

4. Do you think it's worth getting a 2nd copy to begin with? Money is not an issue; I have the money for it. What are the pros and cons of having a 2nd copy for a cycling town?

For Number 1, it will not override it. I have to ACNL's game on 1 3DS.
The Physical is my Cycling and the Digital is my Main. It doesn't override at all.

Yes, one in the main Current Game (the Game Card looking one) and the regular square.

Yes, both copies (digital and cartridge) will show up separately on the home screen.

As for your second question....yes, you can put your cartridge town in your 3DS and still be able to visit your digital town on your 3DSXL. I do this, so I know it will work.

The FCs will be different, though. That's what's confusing me a little.

Let's say somebody adds me on my 3DS' friend code and comes to my town. If I switch the card to my XL, can they just add my XL friend code and still be able to come to my town? Or is it an "exclusive" thing?

No it will not. You can have two copies of ACNL as long as one is physical and one is digital. Both will show up in the home menu, and you can tell which one is physical by the little cartridge mark on the box.

Not really sure what you're asking, but you can transfer between the two games by putting a physical copy in your regular ds. you can visit your town on your xl.

There are plenty you could look up on google or tbt. usually people just tt 3 days and look for somebody moving.
try dreamysnow's guide, it has a lot of viable information. many people use and contribute to it.

If you want to, I think it would require more work and divert attention from the main town. I don't think you need to worry about the condition of the cycling town though, since it would just be for villagers.
