I'm not going to lie, I'm extremely lazy when it comes to my paths. If I accidentally rub a piece off it would take (IRL)days for me to log into the other character to replace it. On one of my old files there were about 15 pieces missing.... and it was still Halloween themed yet Christmas was days away.

I like seasonal paths. They are the best. I only have to go through the hell of laying the pieces down once, and when the grass changes or snow falls, I just run over to the QR machine and update the pattern space. Boom. Done. My only issue is the lack of seasonal paths. I have used Bumbury's seasonal paths since I've gotten the QR machine, because not only are they absolutely adorable(seriously), I don't have to spend hours looking for a new set of path codes that will go with what time of the year it is.

I can't stand having green grass on paths if it's snowing- it's my preference. It just irks me. But because I like to stick to paths that will change every few months, I don't really get to doll up my town like I've seen so many others do. I really wish I could use the green grass paths with all the little flowers on them and whatnot. I also don't have the talent when it comes to matching QR codes so they flow together...Or the time/patience, seriously, props to you guys that will spend hours laying down paths to cover your entire town. One piece is always a darker shade of green, doesn't blend with my triangle grass, etc. I have gone through 85% of Tumblr's path blogs yet can't find any that stick out. It's times like these I really wish I could read Japanese so I could navigate through Japan blogs for codes.

tl;dr
Does the forum find a path set and keep it in their town throughout the year, even if the colors don't line up? Or do you find a different path set each time when you have to change? Do you keep your town in one season for as long as you play that file so it will always look amazing?

Also: Can someone link me to seasonal stepping stones? There are a few areas in my town that I'd like to have stepping stones lead the way, rather than a straight single tile path. >>'

My path is a design of pink, yellow, and blue. I don't want a path that has grass on it, but I also don't want to change paths seasonally.

I have this pink path in my town called Boy Love. XD I laid it out with trees and golden roses -3-. I am proud of it. It took hours to do. I do replace it if I rub it away though. Howwever, I know I would never change it again. Too much work and rather not waste my time with it.

If I set paths at all, I usually stick with simple brick or stone paths that look relatively fine regardless of the season. It's too much work to keep up changing paths, and heck I think it's too much work to coordinate a path with more than 4 different pieces. I wish the natural paths didn't fade away in the winter, because I like how natural paths look, but it's a lot of effort when the snow will just make them disappear again.

I really like paths with grass showing through, but I ALSO really like seasonal paths. I've found nearly none though >.< I'll look into the stepping stones for you!

You guys say that it's too much work to replace paths, right? It's really not! If you save your summer path and put your autumn path pieces in the exact places that the summer path was (i.e. replace a top right corner piece with a top right corner piece), it'll be automatically replaced in your town. You don't have to kick your paths away and replace them manually!

clover pathways are easiest bc they change with the season
also i don't have to do qr stuff with them haha
and they look more natural ~

I spent hours yesterday laying my path down. So frustrating when accidentally wipe a piece out or the frigging thing just doesn't go where you want it. I have mad respect for people who have intricate path designs and multiple QR paths. Way too lazy for that. More QR space would be sososo nice.

I like the look of seasonal paths, but most of them are 8+ tiles and I'm kind of getting over that. I'm trying out a few 1 - 2 tile paths now instead and I'm really liking them so far.

As far as seasonal stepping stones, these are the only ones that come to mind:

They are a little small, but I find that zooming in using Chrome's built-in zoom makes them readable.
I'll post others if I come across/think of any. I have a gajillion paths and other QRs saved.

I like to switch my paths every once and a while. It's a bit of work, but it's always worth it.

I try to keep my paths the same throughout the year. I do usually aim towards a more natural path with bricks or stones instead of something more colorful. I do like the colorful paths but I feel in the winter when it's snowy, it doesn't look as nice with the contrast
