A Siberian science team had drilled 9 miles into the ground when they hit an air pocket. Intrigued, they lowered a microphone, along with other instruments, into the hole. What they recorded has been labelled "Sounds from Hell". It is said that during the night a great ball of luminous gas came from the hole and formed the shape of a winged creature.
