Scorpion Island Help

I found an island that is fully flat just like a bamboo island but with normal trees. I cleared the whole island and zero bugs are spawning. Whilst I was cutting down the trees there were moths on the trees so bugs can spawn them but I dont know why nothing is spawning now.

I had no success trying to make scorpion/tarantula islands... I think there's a patch that made it more difficult

I have always be able to make them on bamboo islands but I have never tried on this island before.

Just to rule out the obvious, you went after 7PM local time, correct?

There’s always some bugs spawning, but they may be hard to spot. And if you don’t scare away other bugs (or catch them) nothing more can spawn. The biggest troublemakers I find are giant water bugs (which appear in rivers and can‘t be scared away), wharf roaches, and tiger beetles (so many of these omg).

I made a scorpion island the last time Flick visited and it took me 3 hours (!!!) to get 15 scorpions to spawn. I gave up after that. They’re rare, so even if you keep scaring things they won’t appear frequently

Yeah I went after 7, there are no rivers or lakes on this island either. I cant see any bugs :/

I only ever try catch scorpions on bamboo islands, I can never get them to spawn on other islands because of the water

Which island did you end up on from this list?

I'm guessing you ended up on Island 17, and it looks like only certain insects that spawn on trees are found there; Scorpions won't spawn.

The list was made before all the updates, so there's various differences that exist, but this seems like the most likely explanation to me.

Good luck with your scorpions! I don't even think I've seen one in 3 weeks, they definitely are much more rare!
