☆SCHOOL LIFE☆ ROLEPLAY (Signups Closed)

[Josephine]
I was behind Melody. "So am I." All three of them jumped. "In fact, it's like I am invisible or something because I have been reading for a while now and no one noticed me."

Riley turned to face both of them. "I knew you were there. You gave it away when you rushed from your hiding spot, creating noise from the wind." He said to both of them. He adjusted his glasses and listened to Tori.

[Melody]
I grabbed my backpack and took out a sketchbook. I began drawing a tree outside the window. After I did that, I walked into the hallway. A group of 3 girls was walking up the hallway, whispering to each other and glancing at me. I walked up to them. "Hello." I said casually. The girl smirked. "Hello Melody. Have you heard the new song on the radio? Of course...not. You never like what anyone likes." She said, and her 2 followers laughed. I didn't react. She smiled at me. "What? You're so scared you'll get an A minus?" I straightened my glasses as she laughed. "No, I'm not scared. I don't care if you call me 'Music Nerd', because maybe that's what I am. I love music that doesn't make my ears bleed." I said, no expression on my face. The girl looked puzzled for a moment and said, "Fine. I don't care. No one likes you, anyway. No one will stand up for you when you get Student of the Month." Anger was flaring inside me. "Student of the Month is a good thing. I saw your grades. They're D's. You'll have to stay back a grade while I go up a year. And, just so you know, I can stand up for myself. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." She laughed again, and so did her followers. "See? She's a nerd with music and quotes. She'll never make it into the next year, being so nerdy. While I go into the fashion world and become the world's most famous fashion designer." I smirked. "Well, you're a fashion nerd." I walked away, leaving her to her followers. Bullies have no affect on me, I know how to get them back. Sweet revenge. I snuck into the lunch room and grabbed a tray of mashed potatoes.

[Mrs.Henderson]
Mrs.Henderson overheard Melody being bullied so she went over to the girls.
"Excuse me, is there a problem here?" Mrs. Henderson asked.
"No, we were just having a friendly chat is all." The mean girl said as her followers nodded in agreement.
"That's great! Maybe we can have a friendly chat....in detention! You three. After school. My classroom. Don't be late." Mrs. Henderson said as the girls walked away furiously. Mrs. Henderson thought she saw Melody smile but then again she couldn't quite tell.
"Don't worry about those girls. One day you'll end up being their Boss."

Riley saw what happened to Melody. He scribbled something on his deck of cards again, and put them back in his pocket before anyone could notice. He waited for an answer from Tori, even though it looked like she was too into her book to notice. He asked again. "What is the name of the book you're reading?"

Melody silently followed the girls to their lockers. She waited for them to walk away, and opened their lockers. She found their homework. She put mashed potatoes all over their bags and papers and silently closed their lockers. She crept back into the club room and grabbed her backpack.

Tori jumped in surprise when she heard Riley's voice. She broke off her trance and looked at the cover of the book. Speaking softly, she answered. "It's called Whispers in the Forest." (OOC: I just made that up unless it's real xD)

[Melody]
"I've read that a million times." I said, adjusting my glasses. "It's a good book." I walked to the window and saw someone strolling around the school garden. I went to the bookshelf and examined the books. I realized school was dismissed a few minutes ago. "It's time to go!" I said, grabbing my backpack. Instead of going to the main door, I took a shortcut to see the girl's lockers. I saw them scream when they saw their backpacks. I laughed in my head and went outside. It was a bit chilly, so I put on a brown sweatshirt. I took a shortcut home, and did my homework.

[Tori]
I abruptly stood up and stuffed my book in my bag. I took off and went straight for the building exit. As soon as I entered the outside world, I felt a chill pass through me but I didn't mind. I like the cold in fact, I can't stand hot weathers. I began walking home which was quite far away from school.

[James]
I kind of started to realize that we weren't really doing any club activities like ひりがな or anything so I sent a text to everyone's phone.
Start learning Hiragana! If you don't understand it, Mrs. Henderson could review the vowels! Thanks a lot!"
I pressed enter. Hopefully everyone did start reviewing.

After I finished my dinner of delicious spaghetti made by my Italian dad, I walked upstairs to my room. I saw my little sister taking a nap in her room. I entered a small room. There was a dresser, a desk, and a small light bulb with a cord. I tugged on the cord and opened a drawer in the desk. I found a book I haven't read in ages, and climbed up onto the bunk bed I shared with my little sister. I flopped down on a pillow, making the bed shake. I read for a few hours and went to bed.

(OOC: My character doesn't have a cell phone.)

I started to review all Hiragana. I wasn't looking forward to Kanji though so it was a bit scary. Katakana looks easy though. I reviewed the vowels first. あういえお
I honestly wished there weren't three dialects of Japanese. I knew this would be trouble for the others.

SCHOOL LIFE:
End of Chapter 2: A Rough Start
----
The next day during lunch, the whole club gathered together.
"Did anyone study Japanese or know a language besides English?"

I nervously raised my hand to head level. "I know a bit of Japanese and Cantonese..."

[Melody]
I raised my hand a bit. "I know a bit of Italian, and my mom's Filipino so I know some Tagalog." I said.

(OOC: All true. :D)

(OOC: Filipino here as well! Whoops I should have put that in :P Also, I'm thinking about opening signups again but I think this amount is enough. Swiftstream hasn't been posting lately so I'll figure things out.

[James]
"Oh, I forgot, I knew some Tagalog as well. Not good at it though. I know the whole Hiragana chart. We should start planning our first club field trip! We don't have sufficient funds though. I was hoping we'd be able to go Japan or something but I guess not..."

(OOC: Cool!)

[Melody]
I was excited at the thought of a field trip. "I wonder where we should go. Maybe a history museum?" I said.

[James]
"A museum would be cool but the nearest one is an hour away and it's pretty expensive. We need a cheap place that would fit our budget."

[Melody]
"Aw." I said, putting a spoonful of yogurt in my mouth. I drank some juice, chewing on the straw, thinking. "Hmm..." I noticed the girls from yesterday bothering a girl with very short hair. "Excuse me for a moment." I walked over to them. "Hello again." I said, making them jump. "Please leave the table." I said politely. They muttered something about losers and walked away. I sat back at the table and pulled out a book.

[Josephine]
I raised my hand. "I know Greek quite well."

[James]
"Greek must've been hard to learn. You know, a museum might be a good idea. I'll find more information."
The bell rang and when class ended, I went home to research on good places for a cultural club.

OOC: I've been thinking about 'bad endings' to chapters where something bad happens and the next poster could either choose to restart the chapter or continue on. It seems like a cool idea. Maybe like:
SCHOOL LIFE:
Bad End of Chapter 3: ____
Restart or continue?
OR
SCHOOL LIFE
Good End of Chapter 3: _____
I'll think about this. Probably way later on though.
