Scary Dreams

oh not too long ago I experienced sleep paralysis for the 3rd time but this one had to be scariest experience I ever had with it okay, so I was having a nightmare that I suddenly woke up from and I was aware I was awake but I couldn't move or speak at all and there was this pale tall lanky creature leaning over my bed and looking directly at me, or so I think it was it didn't have an eyes nor did it have a mouth and all I was able to do was look back at it, finally I snapped out of it and creature of course went away. ((I might draw the creature someday))

here's two nightmare I remember that are appropriate,

first one, I was with my grandparents we were in a theater getting ready to see some movie my grandma then hands me a dollar so I take it over to the claw machine, and for some reason I got unlimited plays,so as I'm playing I keep on winning and winning people around me are cheering suddenly the cheering was gone everything was silent, I turn around everyone was gone the theater was abandoned like no one has step foot in it for years, I turn to the claw machine it was worn down and broken, so I went out side and started calling for my grandparents but there was no reply they were gone everyone was gone I was left alone in a completely abandoned town, or so I thought as I was walking I saw a man in a suit with his back facing towards me so I ran over to him happy that I wasn't the only one when I went up to him I tap his shoulder, he turned around that's when I saw the horrifying vision the man's face was nothing but a huge caved in hole of rotting flesh puss and maggots, I ran away as fast as I could away from him, he was following me not running walking slowly towards me no matter where I went he was there I couldn't escape him. so I hid hoping he wouldn't find me, I then woke up. he's appeared again several more times, but I can't remember much details of those dreams but I remember him. the name I given to him is the "gaping wound"

okay so this isn't the full nightmare just a small part I remember

so in this one there were these two boys of fire screaming and crying and begging me to make it stop one of the boys was completely disfigured, his body was completely twisted up in a way that would make bones break if someone tried to attempt it in reality, they both kept screaming and screaming and I was unable to help them. and they just kept screaming even louder the more I tried to ignore it the louder their screams became

Use it.

I've had several recurring dreams where someone was attempting to kill me or, in one case, a child I was supposed to be protecting. They were pretty realistic and brutal, but on the plus side, I seem to have some sort of built-in defense against nightmares like that, because I always end up becoming lucid just as the "bad stuff" is about to happen, and I can either wake myself up to avoid it or keep going with the dream, but turn it into something else. I know less lucky people who've had much more traumatic dreams.

Up there?

Do It.

I'm always being chased down by somebody violent that wants to hurt me. I always get killed and wake up. They say you cant die in your dreams but dying my dreams is waking up. I have died so many times. Most my dreams used to be so scary. Lately they have just been extremely odd and uncomfortable. Like a really bad acid trip. But ya, I have many reoccurring dreams about being killed by someone unkown

I have no idea why but many of my nightmares tend to include Legend of Zelda bosses. I had a looping dream where I was being sucked in by the gravity of ball and chain from this guy:
FSA_Mace_Knight.png

I kept dying and everytime I peeked out of the bushes I would be really scared. Everytime I died the dream looped.

One time I had a dream that Voldemort was trying to kill me.

I had a wand, but the dang thing wouldn't work at all.

He yelled "Avada-Kedavra" and I was dayd

Then I woke up and went to school!

I've also had a dream where, in a baseball stadium (kinda looked like Fenway), my parents and brother were sucked into the toilets. They died in there. I was like, 8 and that freaked me out SO BAD.

I'm strange, I know.

Is it sad these were my scariest dreams?

I dreamed some people were chasing me and I got on this ferry packed with people... and then I looked out to see where the ferry was going and I saw a island filled with corpses lol... woke up after that

oh yea when I was 4-5 I used to have a recurring dream where a giant face like the one from the mummy was chasing me throughout my house... except I had never seen the mummy at that point so idk where I thought up that giant face lol

I don't really have 'scary dreams' any more. Well, I guess I do, but I just find them entertaining and cool.

When I was a kid though I had this dream where a 'figure' sort of manifested from my bedroom light 'light shade'. When it was all out, it just looked like a guy in a big flowing cloak but he was all shadowy and stuff. He wore the light shade as a hat.
I woke up pretty quickly from it since it scared he crap outta me. My mum ended up taking the light shade out of my room. I only remember having the dream that once but it was enough for it to stick in my memory.

I also had another that happened a few times back then where some 'guys' were abducting children and turning them into dogs with some sort of injection, then 'putting them down' with another injection. Obviously, they turned me into a dog. They chased me and a bunch of other 'kids' since we somehow escaped and were trying to kill us. I just remember the guys chasing us with giant cartoon style bug nets (because what else would the possibly use...) and being chased through the streets and down alleys and stuff.
It makes less sense now that I'm older though. Why would they waste the effort of turning us into a dog first? Why not just kill us straight away? That's pretty much the classic villain telling you his plan for no reason, giving you time to escape and foil his plans...

My nightmares consist of a variety of frightening things.

I grew up in the Midwest, so a common theme is tornadoes. A dream will be going well, and suddenly the sky will get dark and stormy, and then there will be tornadoes. Not just one funnel, but multiple ones, in all directions, and they're all headed toward my current position. Sometimes I make it to a building. There was one time where I buried myself into a hillside to try and escape. By the time they would logically hit, I've woken up.

I remember having this recurring dream about being on a freight train, when it would crash as it reached a mountain. I woke up, only to fall asleep and have the same dream happen again from the beginning. Each time I remember trying to jump off before it was too late, until I finally was able to do so and actually survive the jump. That was the first time I remember actually lucidly dreaming, and I've clung to that ability ever since.

I don't have many nightmares now thanks to my ability to lucid dream and change the ending as needed.

I have trauma-related nightmares (PTSD) but I forget them, usually, within about an hour of waking up. My dream self is always like "Not this **** again" though, lol.

Other scary dreams I have usually involve people I love/trust turning on me, which isn't that far of a leap from the above, really. I had one recently where a family member decided that, for whatever reason, it was imperative that they murder me in an extremely bloody fashion. I love lengthy vivid dreams until someone in said dream decides they want to kill me, kinda takes the fun out of it :p

What form of PTSD do you have? The Star Rod can cure all of them.

My dreams often feature people/places I know but distorted in someway. It's very surreal and I don't understand how people can have straightforward dreams that correlate to their life directly (I'm not talking about interpretation, that's different), like if you're afraid of drowning and you're being forced to have swimming lessons, you go to bed and dream of drowning in a pond and all these ducks are laughing at you, representing your class laughing at you for being a wimp.
No, guys. That **** does not happen in real life, or your "dream life". It just doesn't work like that. Least for me.

I had a dream my school was performing my favourite musical in the "theatre" we don't use in our school and I was in my dream role, but the producers of the actual show which is currently running in the West End were in the audience, scouting for my dream role in the West End show (cast changes occur every year). For some reason my character had as scripted switched places with a member of the ensemble and she was on the catwalk when the ensemble member was supposed to be on, but my character was performing her song in other character's clothes, and for some reason that was what was going to happen in the show from now on.
Then I started getting yen thrown at me, and they were all coming from the orchestra pit (we don't even have an orchestra at my school) who had all been replaced with squids (trust me, that's as weird as it's going to get), and then I fell into one of the producer's laps and when I looked up to say sorry his face turned into a demon's face.
I woke up screaming that I needed to herd Noah onto the ark.

When I was about 5 or so, I had a dream that my mom died in a plant... I woke up crying. I still have no idea why she literally died in a plant...
