Is anyone else scared of placing flowers? xD
I mean, what if a villager decides to move in and plonks down right in the middle of my hybrids?? o.O

Is it better to wait until you have your 10 dreamies? I have like 1000s hyrbids I need to pick up soon, though ;-;

just put the valuable ones on the beach or in storage or in museum display room/a room at your house if you're worried about it and expect to move somebody in soon. or arrange your flower beds now and plot-reset later if need be.

Plant them on the beach, around the edges of your town (I have a blue pansy border on the bottom half of my town), around pws and around villagers houses :3 Also look for other spots where there isn't enough space for a villager to plot (between two pwps for example), and you should be fine.

You could try plot resetting so they don't land on your flowers or just move your flowers to the beach

if im not mistaken, those flowers will just go to the police station if a villager plot lands on them

I have hybrids scattered all over town, so it doesn't matter to me if a villager's house crushes some. I mean, there will be other flowers that are safe somewhere else. Since you're worried, put them on your beach for now or in other areas where they can't get crushed, like around your house or Re-Tail or along the edge of the river.

That's not true. Items that are left on the ground, like shirts and furniture, will be moved to the police station. Trees and flowers that are in the way get wiped out.

I know what you mean, I tend to place my hybrids now around public works/houses or on the beach. It's less stressful in case I forget to plot reset (which I would recommend you do). I have Bob try to move in on top of my mushroom garden and over my path yesterday. It could have ruined what I'd done since there really wasn't a way to work around it with how I'd set everything up.
Luckily I remembered to plot reset.

Basically would recommend putting your hybrids near to other things where houses can't be placed

Ahh thanks for all your replies, but how am I supposed to plot reset if I don't know when the villager is going move in?

I think the best thing is to put them in your museum or around the beach. Also the edges of your town should work fine.
I don't put all the hybrids in my town in one spot. I have them scattered around just in case something like that happens.
I think the beach is your best bet if you are really worried about them.

A villager will always move in if you have eight or less villagers. And if you wifi or streetpass a lot, there's a chance of a random move in occurring. Other than that you shouldn't have to worry about knowing when a villager should move in.

yeah, if i know that i have two or three less hybrids, i'd place them in my storage / basement / museum when i know i have less than 9 villagers. villagers will usually move inbetween 2 - 7 days, but i'd still place all of my hybrids in my storage just in case.

honestly as much as i love new leaf, it has its flaws... especially the removal of the lil move-in signs. what were they thinking?

oh, i see. thanks for correcting me

If you play online a lot and you have 9 or less villagers plot reset every day to see any movers. As for the villagers moving put the flowers around villager houses or close to the river or on the beach or close to buildings.
