Nibbles the Peppy Squirrel has always been one of my dreamies since Wild World, so when a friend had her amiibo I jumped at the chance to adopt her. Said friend invited her to their town, and then later used another amiibo to get her out. I asked her to move to my town and she agreed.
At first everything was normal, she was on boxes and moving into my town. Later that night suddenly her house was blacked out. I could not enter and "I've moved out" showed up when trying to enter. After searching online I realised I had been the latest victim of a horrible glitch which still has not been patched since 1.1.4.
I tried everything - waiting a few days (this happened on the last Sunday, and even after almost a full week, no changes), complaining to Isabelle, holding ceromonies (of which Nibbles still attends), moving her house (which again she turned up for), and even writing her letters, which bizarrely she still replies to. Heck, she even congratulated me via letter on a house upgrade.
This is an awful glitch and it prevents any villagers from leaving or entering your town, which for those who love dreamies or villager hunting on nook miles island, can really dampen the game. I, and I'm sure many others, are anxiously awaiting patch 1.1.5 in hope that it will fix this, and with some luck, allow us to keep the glitched villager.
In the meantime to help me feel better about the situation I have created in game missing posters for Nibbles:

Note: the only known solution is to force kick the glitched villager out via amiibo. Not ideal as in most cases the glitched villager is a dreamie.
