It was the hard copy edition. I didn't turn the power off while saving.

Exactly why I have one. My paranoia jumped through the roof after my boyfriend's town corrupted.

Noooo, happened to me on Pokemon and took my entire EV trained team from Ruby and Sapphire with it. I literally have not touched Pokemon since, would probably be the same with Animal Crossing tbh. Couldn't even think of starting over now, my sympathies are with you!

It's probably unplayable, which is the case in most corruption cases

Can't get into my town, the game doesn't even SHOW my town. On the main menu (where you choose your player) I press A and it says: "The save data is corrupted and will be deleted"
