Resident Night Mare
Yesterday was the fishing tourney, and Chip was looking for horse mackerel. I wasn't so concerned with winning the trophy, because I did win last month, but I still have some furniture to get from him, so I did a little fishing. Unfortunately, because Pekoe had already submitted one, I was only able to have two of my fish count. I ended up winning (Stitches came in second and Antonio took third). I actually would rather have taken second or third, just so I could get the silver or bronze trophy for my catalog. I'll have to see what I can do next month, I guess.
I think the whole Anabelle/Antonio thing is really taking hold in town. Shari told me that she thought the two of them were really tight, "even though one is a boy and the other a girl". Yes, I'm aware of that, Monkey-girl. Since I've found Anabelle and Shari visiting one another's houses, perhaps my little anteater is sharing secrets with her friend, who accidentally let it slip to me. I sent both Anabelle and Antonio letters, saying that I'd noticed they seemed to hang out a lot and wondering if they liked the other. Not sure if I'll get a response. Oh, and last night, I nabbed a flea off of Anabelle, and she wanted to be sure I wouldn't let anyone know, "especially Antonio". Hmm.
Sapphire's and Flint's houses have had their first loans paid off and expanded. I should finish Jett's loan today. I finally found the Uneven Stone Roof for Jett, so I just need a mailbox for his house. And maybe change the pavement. What I have is a little too yellow (it would actually work well for Sapphire's house). Still looking for siding for both Flint's and my houses, and I might change Flint's fence (he has the sculpted hedge), but then exteriors will be done.
I found another purple rose yesterday, so all I need is a pink tulip to finish the flowers around my house. I had a lot of regular flowers spawn, but haven't had many hybrids. Not too worried, because I'm sure it'll get better once I have access to fertilizer.
K.K. Slider was playing, and that means four more songs for my catalog. I also ordered some furniture from the Nookling Bandits, which means my Cabin and Classic rooms aren't quite so empty. And I got extra copies of Forest Life and Stale Cupcakes to make into music boxes. I'd forgotten how much I love music boxes.
Anabelle asked me to build a metal bench, which I doubt will happen. Still haven't had Shari ping for the log bench. I'm starting to expand the cedar forest west toward Purrl's house. It'll also go south around the campsite, then continue to the secret beach. Whew, that's going to be a lot of cedar trees.
Guess that was it. At least the weather was nice for the fishing. I'm getting a little tired of rain.
