After searching for Pietro for a few weeks, he came to my cycling town and I was overjoyed. I got him to go into boxes and I used my boyfriends ds so I could go to my cycling town.. only for Pietro not to tell me he has nowhere to go.. only to find out after 2 WEEKS of not having a 10th villager, for stupid Spork to move in :( Pietro is now gone, anand Spork took his place. I want him out. Any good techniques to kicking villagers out?

Ignore him. Introduce yourself and then never talk to him again, he will be gone in about 2 weeks. :)
By the way, may I adopt him if he leaves? He's one of my dreamies actually...

fast-forward two days into the future, talk to the villagers you wanna save and rewind back to the present date. Walk around town and someone should ping you that they want to move. If that doesn't happen, try talking to the other villagers and they will usually say who wants to move

sorry that happened...I didn't even know a 10th villager can move uninvited

Don't do this. There have been many issues and claims regarding dreamies being put into boxes due to this method. The safety net method is considered to be much better, or you can do the new character, introduce once and then delete method, albeit while it has worked for me it hasn't for others.

really? I just did this today and it worked for me.
you could always just do the diving trick and sit in the water for a few minutes and hope when an animal pings you, they wanna move

This wouldn't work because if an animal isn't moving, you won't ever get a moving ping no matter how long you sit in the ocean for. Read this guide (HERE)! It has a detailed explanation of moving out villagers~

So being mean doesn't help at all?

no.

they say that new leaf has a friendship mechanic so that the game wants you to be friends with the villager before they want to move. i'd agree with this by saying that all of my most beloved / talked to villagers always want to move the most. others say that moving out is completely random, to which i would also agree. since it's so random and the friendship method has worked the best for me, i'd just say be friends with them / talk to them excessively / etc. the talk to them once and ignore method has been debunked before.

I'm 90% sure you can't get the tenth villager to move out (it's never happened to me after 25+ move-ins and move-outs). So you'll have to get someone else to leave then invite another villager in before Spork will ask to move. That way he'd be the ninth rather than the tenth.

I think he's pretty cute though, at least you didn't get a super ugly villager o:

Argh, this happened to me with Savannah. I spoke to her and she wouldn't ask to move. I then found out that Bree had stuck a plot down in my village, and I nearly missed out on her (I was just super lucky that the individual giving her away was so patient as I TTed a villager out)!

The tenth villager is apparently very difficult to get out (though like Dewy, I've never had a 10th villager move out, and I've for TTed months and months). Otherwise, the 'Ignore' method has only failed me once out of the 20+ villagers I've kicked out.

Yeah, I had that exact same problem with Cyrano. No matter what I tried, he simply wouldn't move. In the end, I let another villager move out and lo and behold, the next one to ping me after this villager was Cyrano!

I don't think it's impossible but it's really, really hard to move out the 10th villager that comes into your town. Even when I was cycling, I noticed that the 10th villager rarely moves. The next move out is always someone else. I think I went several, several decades in my cycling town and in all that time, only 1 villager who was the 10th was the next villager to go. Sorry to be such a killjoy. :( Just a heads up so you won't be too frustrated.

this just freaking happened to me just now...im so upset

a kind and generous person was going to give me Bunnie, and they waited such a long time for me to finally get my 3DS (my brother had it)

i loaded up the game and saw this disgusting reserve spot for a 10th villager by some rat name Limberg

Im so upset....Im never streetpassing again.

You could try the "rumor" technique.
TT a day at a time and talk to each of your villagers. If a villager sayings something like "you know...rumors are scary...rumors are bad...rumors blah" then no one is thinking of moving. If a villager says "So-and-So" is thinking about moving, then you got a match and you just gotta get them to ping.

im just so done. :|....

i dont time travel :/

what bothers me most is i wasted this persons time.

and what bothers me second most is wtf a 10th villager can move in uninvited, and my ultimate dreamie Bunnie got away.

The ignoring method does not work all the time for me, so I suggest an alternate method that is similar to the 2 days forward method. This will work if you had just told a villager not to move. Then, save and quit and go 6 days ahead. Load your game, then save and quit and go back six days (it will still count as one whole day, just make sure to jump back in one leap. Otherwise, if you go back one by one six times, you will muck up). Go around your town, and someone definitely will leave, unless there is an event coming up that can alter their moving date.

Plus, just in case you are afraid that someone is going to leave without you knowing, go onto your 3DS Clock Setting and change the year to one year ahead. Load your New Leaf game as a New Save File. After going through Rover's speech, check the town map. If one of the houses is missing, someone in your town was wanting to move. If not, then no one was wanting to move. Exit without saving, and change the year back. Load up your game, and if someone left 'one year later', make that villager ping and they will tell you that they will want to leave.

Had a similar problem with Flora as well
