The reason why it is generally disliked is many reasons: the majority of players that are idiots, graphics, content, how its played, or how lame it just looks.
By idiots, I mean the preteens who and kiddies who dont know anything, bug you, and in general, play it because they have nothing better to do. And being younger, they can be persistent on things like "*CEN-9.10-SORD* U NOOB I PWN YOU FAC ME IN THA WILDY!!!!" or "Noob" out of nowhere. But this is just the general reason.
The graphics are very... basic. Like Nintendo 64 and Playstation standards which are 10 years old, but are really good for a browser game where you can play anywhere and most computers can handle it, unlike most of the downloaded games, which have higher standards. You either appreciate it or not.
Content as in, the fighting style of 'just watching your guy fight' as

Well...if yu r suggesting a trading thread may i suggest adding a "Post only about trades" sign or something to ward of the ppl that hate this game.
I think yu forgot to explain the scammers and hackers that hurt those "idiots" and the more polite players.

I admit that I did play it for a few months.
Honestly, the content really isn't bad at all. The player base is what really is bad about it. If the players, as a whole, acted quite a bit more maturly, I think that RS wouldn't be that bad of a game.
If you're playing it because it can be played in a browser, there are other cool RPGish games that are played in a browser. We just don't want you playing them.

Yeah, as I've said so many times, I'm really not that big 'a fan of the game. I agree with what Zel and Kyle say about the people...one person told me they'd "Put a bullet in my head"...yeah...
Anyway, I just never really saw what so many people see in it. Tons of my friends are obsessed with it, though.

Well, scammers, autoers, and hackers will never go away in most online games. So you can expect them. But I have alot of experience on F2P, I can know it at the back of my hand, and on the so many accounts I've used, they will be there always.IslandGuy said:
And about the trading post, TBT barely has a RuneScape fanbase, so I can hardly see one coming. But if there ever was a MMO board, there could be.
