Lucas mewed in response, his ears drooping. He considered turning back to his regular human form, wanting to test her abilities.

Minda gently placed Lucas on the ground, stroking him.

"So what is happing around here."

Lucas purred happily as he was stroked again, and thoughts of revealing his real identity disappeared instantly.

"I know your not a cat." Minda murmured. "You're a shifter."

His ears perked up and Lucas' head shot round to look up at Minda. How does she know? I thought she couldn't read my mind when I'm a cat?

"Real cats can't understand English. You might as well show me your true form." Minda murmured, standing up.

Oh, crap, Lucas thought. Reluctantly, he walked a few feet away and then turned back into human form, facing Minda.

Minda look at him. "So, who's Sina?" She smirked.

Lucas' face went bright red, as the unexpected question caught him off guard. "S-She's a f-friend of mine," He stammered, though he already knew Minda would know that's not the whole story.

Minda grinned. "I can also tell when someone is lying to me."

"I didn't lie, she is my friend! She just happens to be a little more than that too..."

Giggling, "You're a strange cat..."

"Why am I strange? I'm perfectly normal, thank you very much," Lucas protested. Well, maybe I'm not, but it doesn't matter...

"Strange in a good way, silly." She replied, walking up to him. Minda was a few inches shorter than him.

"Strange in a good way? Isn't strange silly used in the context where it's a bad thing though?" And how am I strange anyway?

"Strange in a good way means your unique."

"So you're strange too then?" Lucas asked. "You're definitely unique."

"Yep." Minda replied.

Lucas opened his mouth to say something else when he was cut off by his stomach audibly growling. Oops, I meant to go eat earlier...
