Fire Types barely outclass each other. The Fire Type is a terrible type. The majority of them have shallow movepools and have no real strength on their own. The only two great Pokemon are both Legendary (Heatran and Victini) and they still suffer from some of the most common type moves in the game. Besides, Stealth Rock cuts them down, even more depending on the type. And with SR being so common...it's no wonder Game Freak gives fire types the coolest designs, they have to make up for how terrible they are. (Before you jump my boat, Houndoom [and his mega] have always looked so awesome to me, but they suck. Balls.)

Are you for real? .. Ice is the only real type that kinda sucks when it comes to SR weakness.. It has horrible defensive typing and is weak to SR and usually have shallow movepools.. The only real stars of the show are Mamoswine and Cloyster in competitive play as they have the movesets and stats to work..

And you have no idea what you're talking about if you don't recognise Darmanitan, Chandelure and Blaziken.. Like really? Those three can easily outclass Heatran and Victini.. Every Pok?mon play different roles.. Fire-types, except Heatran, are pathetic defensively, but they're meant for offence, hence why nearly all of them have great attacking stats..

And Houndoom may not be the best offensively, but it can work if given the right team support..

SR is frustrating to the majority of Pok?mon that aren't Steel/Fighting or Steel/Ground.. Fire, Bugs and Ice just get the majority of the crap because they're weak to it.. But Scizor is one of the best Pok?mon incompetitive play, and has been since the release of Platinum..

You may have been to competitions, but if you really think that Fire-types except Heatran and Victini are useless, you REALLY need to do some research

Why not use Greninja? .. Orrr, maybe use something like Ludicolo or Cloyster.. They're cool .. Or maybe Barbaracle, he looks good.. OR Clawitzer, he has a great ability with some great stats

I will have a different in game team and a different battles team, because EV training will require things from post game (and some pokes too). It'll be my first time EV training, but I found a guide on youtube with horde battles.

If we're talking competitively.. Blaziken and Greninja don't need their defenses.. They simply attack fast and hard.. Particularly Blaziken.. Greninja works well with a Timid Nature and Choice Specs.. While Blaziken usesProtect and Swords Dance to go absolutely crazy on opponents

Clawitzer's great in game though, along with Ludicolo

Darmi and Lure are slow. One hit from the most common physical attack in the game [Earthquake] cleans them up and there are WAY too many Pokemon that out-speed these guys that also have EQ. That's why both of these Pokemon are not in OU, that's why they got dethroned. Speed Boost Blaz is banned and normal Blaz needs a set up in which it can't take the hit for, also why it's not in OU. I mean there is Volcarona, who suffers a huge loss from Stealth Rock too, but the difference is that Volca brings something to the table all the other Fire types don't. Same with Heatran. And Victini is only decent in it's Movie Variant with the BW signature attacks. Although, I will have to say that Fire and Ice are on the same page. They both really need revamping.

Your argument is actually losing it's luster as it's going along.. I'm done talking to you quite frankly.. Not all Pok?mon who carry Earthquake can switch into a Banded Flare Blitz/Specs Fire Blast.. Fire-types suffer from SR, but the majority of Pokes can work 'round it.. Hence why Volcarona is OU, it's just that good.. And Darmanitan/Chandelure dropped to UU because they weren't being used enough.. Why? Because Speed Boost Blaziken was still legal.. And when Blaziken got banned, Darmanitan and Chandelure were doing fine in UU
