Room for villagers?

I want to go pick up Molly from someone today, but I just got Derwin and Octavian is due to move in any day now. That means I'll be at 10 villagers when Octavian moves in. He hasn't moved in yet, but if I go and get Molly, will she still accept to come to my town?

If Octavian hasn't plotted yet then she may accept... Which means octavians move will be cancelled.

if octavian hasnt set down his plot, molly will replace him in the queue to move in and octavian will never move in. I know this from an experience my friend had.

If you want Octavian AND the new person… what you can do if you TT is TT to move Octavian in (plot reset him if necessary ) and then TT to try to get your least favorite villager out. However, it might take you a day or four to get the one you want to move out… maybe the trader will wait for you if you are lucky and are able to make a spot quickly.
