these games were always a favourite of mine, particularly rct2. theres not a whole lot to do in the summer in s texas so i constantly played it when i was younger. i found a download of it yesterday and it actually works and i love it even more now
ive played rct3 before but it didnt feel as cool to me as rct2. lmao.
theres a new game coming out like this or next year? sounds groovy.

I can hardly wait for the new one. Rollercoaster 3 was my favourite. So many things you can do in that game. My only hope is that my laptop will be able to handle the new game. On my last crappy computer it would crash all the time. It was overheating the video card. It was an old computer that we had got for free.

2 is/was the best imo. That game was practically my childhood more or less and I still love it. I liked 1 but I preferred 2 because you could use the more advanced track editor and do your own scenarios.

I never liked 3 because, well abusive graphics and bad menus mainly.

Rollercoaster Tycoon was life. But I seemed to find the most joy in killing people in it. Kind of like the Sims games. But come on, it was pretty amusing making an incomplete rollercoaster and having everyone go flying off the end.

oh my god that reminds me of this video on tumblr where someone made an incomplete rct3 coaster that 'ended' on the path and they 'rode' it and people were flying and it was hilarious

In the first game I built a roller coaster which made the car go to the end then loop back
I accidently messed with some of the coaster setting and it flew of the rail and exploded lol i think I got a unsafe award for that later

I loved that game. But I only played #3 because its the only one that's 3D. I sucked at building amusement parks though.

Those were hilarious. RCT3 was great because of the ability to 'ride' your rollercoasters. Witness the deaths you cause. Enjoy it.

One time my sister made a rollercoaster, and all the people who flew off flew off her property, so she was mass-murdering people but because they weren't dying on her property she was never deemed to have an unsafe park, and I think she ended up getting one of the award things for safest park. As she killed everyone.

Yeah, this was so much fun. However I wonder how they awarded 16 intense rating for a coaster that wasn't even 80 meters high lol

RCT2 was literally my childhood. I remember the first day I got it I played for like 12 hours lol.

I LOVED this! making pokemon themed towns or other video gamed towns.... naming guests after friends and forbidding them to leave lol! so many memories and so many hours put in

I remember getting RCT2 in a cereal box and it was how I spent every summer vacation during my childhood. (Am I that old? :l) I actually downloaded it again last summer but the program kept crashing on Win8.

The only RollerCoaster Tycoon games I ever played are the first and the second. If you want to get them, you might want to get the ones from GOG.com, as they tend to be compatible with the most recent Windows OSes.

The best parts of the game to me is figuring out multiple ways to irritate/threaten my guests and build ridiculous roller coasters. The former is so satisfying to do so after you completed the objectives from a park.
