I kiss his cheek. "Apology accepted." I sit down next to him.

"So... Catherine and Scott.." I smile nervously.

I glance at her. "Hm?"

 

[Naiad]

"... This is the first time you've seen them, right?"

I reach out and softly smooth one of Scott's curls.

 

[Myst]

I smile lightly. "Yeah..."

 

[Naiad]

"What d'you think?" I glance over at Catherine, a small smile gracing my face. "... She's always taken after you."

 

[Myst]

I smirk. "That she has."

 

[Naiad]

"Ah— I almost forgot, dinner.."

I grab a knife and begin cutting the pies into slices.

 

[Myst]

I grow confused. "Um... are we only having pie for dinner?"

 

[Naiad]

"... Chicken pot pie." I shrug. "Thought I'd go American for once."

 

[Myst]

"Interesting." I calmly ask, "How was your day? Heard from the others yet?"

 

[Naiad]

"It was lonely," I admit. A house this big is always sad when it's quiet...

I shake my head. "... No. Though, I guess it's to be expected." I smile weakly. "We didn't exactly part on the best terms."

"Sorry about that... I know how much you miss the others." I smile weakly.

I laugh. "It's probably for the best... safer for them even... I'm sure they have their own lives to worry about..."

 

[Naiad]

I nod. "... Yeah, I guess so."

"Oh, yeah, Blaze." I bite my lip. "The memorial. Would you like to come..? I know I've asked you before, but I'm taking Catherine and Scott and who knows..? It might be better than you'd think.." I ramble on.

 

[Myst]

I sigh. "Sai, you know I can't do that... Who knows what would happen if I go...?"

I might just end up killing them all... I smirk to myself then shake off the smirk as I grow disgusted with myself.

 

[Naiad]

"... I know." I smile weakly. "Just thought I'd ask and hope."

 

[Myst]

I smile back. "I'd love to go... but I can't promise I'll behave." I slightly smirk.

"Aaaahhm..." I roll over and yawn, waking up in our new apartment. Sage and I left the old complex when we returned to the city, and I have to say, this apartment is a bit nicer.

I sit up and attempt to get out of bed quietly to avoid waking up Sage.
