"You heard me." I say clearly. "You aren't going to lay a finger on me, or my friend here." "Oh really, and why is that?"
"Because you are forgetting, I can use black magic." I give the animal a wink as I break free from my chains due to my magic and jab the Minotaur in the eyes.
"I'm not just going to leave you here!" I protest, reaching for a knife. When I don't find one, I remember that I ended up dropping them when I was jumped on.
I debate what to do for a moment. She can probably deal with this better than I can, so I decide to run like she said. While I was debating, the miniature must have woken up, as it grabs my leg as I try to tun away. I trip, landing face first on the hard floor. Why is Everything bad happening to me today?!
I notice the Minotaur grab her. "No!" I blast a black energy wave in her direction, the force causes Asuka to go flying across the room and out the door. "Go!"
I'm sent flying out the door, and I take a moment to stabilise myself on my feet. I remember what the minotaur said before, and I want to go back in and help straight away. If I'm caught again, I'll be tortured, but if she's caught again, she'll die. I can't take that chance. I'd rather get caught than have her caught.
I run back through the door, by the looks of things just in time. I quickly take out the spare knife taped to the inside of my boot, which is there for emergencies, and stab the enemy, shoving it to the side at the same time.
"I don't want anything happen to you. If they end up recapturing me, they'll torture me, but if they recapture you and you can't escape, they'll kill you," I reply. "I'd rather be tortured than see you die."
