so lately my villagers have been wanting to give each other gifts and i open them every time bc they wanna give each other instant muscles suit 😭 tonight judy had a present for tabby so i opened it but it was a cute shirt so i rewrapped it to give it to her as a gift and when I gave it to her it still registered as a gift from judy.

SO tldr; basically you can inspect the gifts and if u approve u can just rewrap it to complete the delivery

also sorry if everyone knew this already it surprised me so i wanted to share it lol

I didn't know this, thank you for the info! Going to use this idea 😀 I always unwrap the gifts too, afraid my villagers will end up with clothes I hate, or messy houses 😂

Thank god you can do this. Cyrano gave Poppy a... bathrobe and I really wish I could have opened it without her noticing before :s

aaaaa im happy that this was useful advice now everyone can make their villagers happy lol

aah thank you for this tip 0: i don't want my villagers getting gifted ugly clothes

Oh thank goodness. Now I don’t have to fear giving deliveries to my villagers that could be absolute stinkers. Interesting how the game still considers it came from a said villager despite you being the one who wrapped the package.

Ooh, I'd never thought of doing that. Thank you so much! No longer will my villagers have to suffer at the hands of each other's poor, RNG taste! 😂

Woahhhh thanks for the info, I also do this cuz they give each other outfits like security uniforms and baby rompers orz (I'm looking at you Lolly! I see you trying to give Audie a security uniform, and the baby romper would've been cute for my other villagers but Lolly wanted me to give that to Chief LMAO)

What do you do if you open the gift and it's a shirt you don't want the villager to wear? Just sell it at the shop and pretend that nothing happened? Does that make you lose friendship with the villagers involved? If so, would it be more friendship-efficient to just refuse to deliver the package in the first place?

I have never delivered a package. They have never been angry about it. "Yeah, you're right. I should do this myself!" I don't know how it affects friendship, but I believe I read it increases it slightly.

Thanks for the great info!

I will definitely be inspecting gifts from now on to make sure no one is giving out horrid clothes :ROFLMAO:

I always intervene and either deliver the gift or sell it at Nook's depending on whether I want them wearing said item, but if you tell them to deliver it themselves, do they not actually get a new item of clothing?

I assumed delivering it myself was the only way to interfere and prevent some fashion disasters?

No, they don't ever get the gift if you tell them to deliver it themselves. It just deadends that quest.

Thanks! This is very helpful information. Sometimes my villagers don't have the best fashion sense :)
