Used to be pretty active as a trader here. Decided to join back because I'm for sure going to be on that New Horizons grind . We still have quite a long way to go until the new game comes out, but how's everyone doing? It looks like the forum got much quieter throughout the years.

Thanks a ton. Quick question, I noticed a lot of people in the marketplace ask for "TBT" now instead of bells. Could you tell me what "TBT" is?

TBT just means the Bells you receive on the forum, which are displayed in your sidebar. Now that less people are playing New Leaf, that game's currency has very little value anymore. Even less so now that New Horizons is releasing. Therefore most people have switched to using TBT almost exclusively.

Correct, though certain boards give you more than others. The Basement doesn't give any, while posting in Animal Crossing boards is usually the most lucrative.

Also, since we're currently in Old School Animal Crossing Week, the General AC Discussion, Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Animal Crossing: City Folk boards will give you more Bells than usual through posting. This is a temporary bonus.
