Retail glitch :(

I was doing a trade and a person came to my retail to buy the items I was trading them.
They bought them while I was in the shop, and after I ended multiplayer I didn't get the bells for the two items he bought.

I'm really sad now because I just lost my gold chair and my wistful painting

Did you check your bank account? All stuff bought at Re-Tail goes there. Well, unless you directly convince a villager to buy something, which in that case, they'll give you the money directly.

The bells will show up in your bank account tomorrow. When you go to talk to Resse tomorrow she will tell you that she sold something and the money was put into your account. Don't worry.
