Restarting...

i want to because i want a new layout and the only villager i like is skye.... but idk.... i feel like a bad person if i do... because im just doing it to satisfy my own needs.... Should I?

As somebody who reset because my previous town layout drove me crazy...

I'm probably not the one to answer that.

However, I will say that I regret nothing... and I had Whitney in that town. xD Love my new town layout, and like all my villagers relatively well.

Do it, what do you mean satisfy your own needs? Unless you promised someone something (as in a real person), then do it. It's your game, if it's not fun then there's no point.

If you're really unhappy, there's no reason not to. But please don't let your villagers be a deal breaker. In time they will come and go! However if the layout is extremely annoying, then do whatever it takes to be happy.

Go ahead and restart if you want! I did because my town layout was horrible, and I don't regret it too bad. I'm really satisfied with my new layout and it's much better than my old one!
Plus, the sooner you restart the better, so I would go ahead now if I were you. But it's really your decision.
