I've restarted twice.
The first time was accidental and due to corruption.
The second time was after two years of playing, and it was recently. I don't regret it, and it is a lot of fun. I like working to get my bells, furniture, and dreamies again. I also enjoy the new villagers!
Restarted Kairos once, because Maple ****ed my paths and thanks to Isabelle's PWP nonsense, I ended up with only one bridge in the entire town, unable to build another one in a convenient area. Now everything's fine, so I'll be keeping that as my permanent town (unless something equally terrible happens again...)
I restarted my 2nd copy twice. It was a cycling town at first, then I decided to quit cycling and just make it into a Dragon Age town, since it already had the appropriate name. Then I realized it'd be way too much work and I didn't have an optimal map layout for it anyway. So I restart and made it an all bear/cub town. But there aren't any snooty bears and lack of personality balance bugs me too much. Plus, as cute as it was to see all the bears interact, having a single species town can be kind of boring after a while, so I just lost motivation to continue. So I restart again. Now I'm on Pandora, and I'll be keeping it until it's fully developed. Then I'll archive it in the dream suite or something before selling it to build a new town.
How can you restart! I get so attached to my little villagers and my town. I still have my original town from the Gamecube version on my old memory card. In my New Leaf town, I don't even let my villagers move away because they're all so adorable.
I don't know if it counts as restarting but I've made multiple new towns (besides my main town, there's no way I'm deleting that) almost all of which I've kinda given up on, but I might go back to them soon.
A lot of times. Somewhere over 10 I think. I lost count. It gets boring when there's nothing else to do. I eventually got the money to buy an extra game though.
I restarted once, but I had only put in around 2 months into my first town so it wasn't too bad. At the time, I didn't know about how the questions Rover asked you determined your character's face and I had ended up with the ugliest eyes (in my opinion). When I found out about that, I got it into my mind to restart, but I didn't want to lose all my money and items, so my bf actually bought the game for himself on my birthday so that I could use his town to transfer everything. ^_^ I love my town now, even though it is far from perfect. But I've put so much time and effort into it that I could never choose to restart again.
I've restarted once in my main town, my past one reminded me too much of a bad time in my life even though I had everything I wanted. I don't regret it at all though, I like working from ground up without any weird vibes around it. It made the game much more enjoyable for me to put time into. Other than that I restarted my cycling town because I needed apples lmao.
A long time ago around the first two weeks of my first GCN town I was actually planning on resetting it but I realised how lucky I got with the starter villagers (Bob, Mitzi, Tangy). Eventually I just kept it and made another town on another memory card instead. As for New Leaf, I've resetted once on 21st September 2016. I reset the first version of Animalia (my New Leaf town) since I named the mayor after my real name (bad idea when playing online, which I luckily didn't do) and the villagers I had weren't good enough for me to care about (though I had Diana and I liked her). I regretted restarting my town for about a week but now I'm actually happy that I did so.
I've never restarted my town, but now I really want to because there's so much I'd love to change. The only reason I haven't is because I don't think I'd have the drive to get a fresh town back up to the status of my current one. It took me three years to get it to where it is now, and that's with intermittent play. I really don't know if I'd have it in me to start on a fresh slate, as much as I'd love to. Plus there's the hassle of finding someone trustworthy to hold my items, I feel like it'd be a lot of bother.
I guess the best I can do is scrap all my PwPs and start over in that sense.
I've restarted around 5 times. Kind of. I had my first town Lorule but the map was impossible. I reset after the update. I had a cartridge I gave to a friend with Olybunia, had a good map. Had Lollind which had the best map I could hope for but the fruit was apples so restarted. Made Bliss, but I wanted to do the 1year challenge so restarted it again. I'm okay with my map. I'm not in love with it but it has cherries and that was the most important part. Plus it only has one lake. All my other towns had 3-4 lakes. I regret it a little, but not really because cherries are my favorite andmy very first town ever on game cube had cherries.
Ever since animal crossing new leaf cam eout, i believe i have restarted three times. This is my third town. I wouldn't say that's a lot of restarting but sometimes i do feel like restarting my current town. It isn't exactly how I would like it to be due to many factors, but at the same time i have grown to get love my town. It may not be the best or even comparable to the many dream towns on here, but i have worked too hard to just restart lol
I don't think I can tell you the amount of times I have restarted;-; but my current town is more than perfect despite it not being 100% complete, it has my favourite native fruit, the town hall and train station colours match and they're my preferred colour too. :3 I doubt I'll ever restart this town.
Never restarted, and I never plan to. I'm way too attached to my town and all the work I've put into it (I bought ACNL on release.) I did consider it for a bit after I went on hiatus and came back but- I couldn't go through with it.
