I've recently been thinking about resetting my town because I've started losing interest and I realized that I really didn't care for my map layout any longer. This town was my first town (and I've only had it since April), so I didn't really know what I was doing XD It's kind of all-over-the-place and doesn't have a set theme.

So I was wondering what experience others have had with resetting towns. Did you immensely regret it afterwards? Or was it a breath of fresh air and ultimately a good decision?

It depends on the person, if you like starting over, and regetting all your villagers, items etc, then it's fun. Some people regret it because the process of getting everything back it's pretty long. I personally like resetting my town because I don't mind re doing everything. And it feels like you just got the game all over again. :D

I think I'm the same way xD The more I think about it, the more I want to reset!

the only thing that worries me is future time restraints. I'm starting school this Thursday and I'm not sure whether I'll have time to play or not ;o

u can always play after school, during the weekends and holidays. its a brand new start and u will soon not put the game down. if u really want to reset then u should do it. u can even get a brand new set of villagers :)

Thanks guys! I've decided I'm gonna go through with it and reset! Thanks for the encouragement cx

I just reset my first town, which I've had since June 2013. I've hated the map pretty much since I got it (I didn't know about map resetting) and I put my perma-PWPs and my house in the worst places.

I have other towns, so I can hold all my stuff. The biggest problem will be my villagers. But with the Amiibo update coming in a few months, that won't be an issue either.

In short, I think resets for this game are necessary sometimes, for varying reasons. Whether it's boredom, or not liking something about the town that's preventing you from really enjoying the game.

If your losing interest in your current town you should def reset it'll make the game more fun again! Plus if you save your town in the dream suite you can always just go back and visit (once you have the dream suite in your new town)

I just reset mine and love redoing it! Even though I did store my favorite items and bells in my boyfriends town soIi wouldn't loose the cools and unorderable things, It has really made me think about a set theme and stuff especially when it comes to my house and where I would like PWPs.
