I was just wondering, has anyone ever reset their town, or just felt like you have played and unlocked almost everything there is to the game? I reset once after playing for a few months because I knew my town layout was bad, I had horrible villagers because all of my favorites moved out, and I didn't feel that I had gotten very far so a reset would be a fresh start to the game. Now I have a perfect town status in my new town and wanted to know if anyone else did the same.

No way, maybe if I had two save files, then sure...but I worked hard for all this
it's like when I contemplated restarting Pokemon X, but for the first time ever i had finished my Pokedex

I like having a record of completing things, so I'll probably never reset this town

I ended up getting a second copy after I finished my main town because I couldn't bear the idea of resetting. I'd reset if I wasn't too attached, since a 'Perfect Town' rating isn't all that difficult.

I didn't like the place I put my house in my first town, so I reset...my second town corrupted, third town was barely a town haha, fourth town...my favorite villager moved out :( and now I'm on my fifth town! Wonder how long it'll last

Yeah, I reset my first town due to my awful layout and such (I just chose the first one that came up). Now, though, I have a much happier town and I was rather picky about how it would turn out. :)

Yeah, my restart for acnl was on the day I got it, 3 hours after I bought it. I realized how much I hated the layout. I kind of regret it now because I now realize how much I liked it, but Idrc since I love my current map.

I wouldn't mind resetting my town to get a better layout, I went through every possible map before I started this current town but things could always be done better with more fore thought. I don't want to loose my villagers, items and catalog though

I have one town that I have made so much progress on that I will never reset it.

My second town is very new, so I might consider resetting that one.

Yup, I did. On my first town, I just got the game and I literally wanted everything at that moment. I wanted T&T Emporium, I wanted Katrina's Fortune Shop, I wanted everything upgraded, and I time-traveled for all of it. It ruined the game for me in the end since I couldn't really experience it.I also hated how the Town Tree was messed up because T&T Emporium was "unlocked" at a date before the other 3. It aggravated me even more that Julian moved in, he moved in right at the spot where my bridge would go. I actually stopped playing for a while. I then restarted on January 29th and I wanted to make a vow not to time-travel to rush things like upgrading. So far, so good :)

I did to Odaiba back in January because I wasn't too happy with my town, resetted the town, and basically kept Odaiba to what it's like today.

Never! I started with Larkspur and I love the map and the placement of everything. I've put so many hours and work into this town that I couldn't bear starting over.

I've reset two of my towns and I'm glad I did even though I spent a lot of time on both of them. I usually just go along with everything the game throws at me but if I'm unhappy with my map I can't ignore it. Now I have a map I love so I made the right decision in resetting my previous towns.

I reset my first town. I was really attached to it, but I had really bad placement of everything. My house was too close to the river, I had huge rocks every where, 5 of my dream villagers moved out, my city hall was in a really annoying place, my PWPs were in really bad places, I had absolutely no bushes, and my fruit trees were all over the place (I couldn't even shake them down without messing up my paths.)
I don't regret making any of those mistakes, tbh. I loved my town, but it taught me what not to do with my new one.
I still have the dream address up, and I like to visit it from time to time, but I really prefer my new town.

I plan on resetting my town. I took a break from ACNL for about a year, and now I hate my map and my native fruit (oranges).

Yup, I did on my first town. I felt that I needed to catch up with so many things in the game~ I was scared I'd get busy and never touch the game again. I TT a lot, and so I ended up messing my town history (it was pretty bad :< lol) and had to get a villager out because it was someones dreamie so more TT :< I loved my map tho but didnt like my native fruit xD I reset and went through 900+ maps! But I eventually found one similar to my old map and now I dont TT on it~ taking it slow day by day

Ugh, that's what I hate about TTing. Especially if you just restarted, you can easily mess up your town history, and it's really emberrassing when you have a nice town and then they find out you TT'd to get where you are now (as opposed to being "patient and playing fair".) We all know how some people really hate tt'ing and people who do it.

thats why I just restarted I felt so bad about my town :< I felt like I wasted it but I'm happy now because I stopped :3 I learned my lesson! :)
